摘要: The present invention is a decorative window system (1) that is mechanically robust, minimizes heat conduction, prevents water and wind infiltration, yet retains the physical characteristics of traditional divided glass construction. The preferred embodiment of the invention is a multi-glazed panel (12) comprised of a framework (11) of T-shaped came (2) dividing and supporting a plurality of glazing elements (3) thereafter bonded to a glazing panel (5) via a laminating layer (4). C-shaped came (14) is attached to or strip-shaped came (6) adhered via laminating tape (15) and a sealant (16) to the glazing panel (5) opposite of the laminating layer (4) so as to match the pattern formed by the framework (11). In an alternate embodiment, a first multi-glazed panel (21) is bonded to an oppositely disposed second multi-glazed panel (22) of likewise construction via a laminating layer (4).

摘要: A glass cloisonne article and method of making same is provided. The glass cloisonne article includes a glass substrate which can be formed into a desired shape, such as a vase, votive or other desired shape, a framework of metal wire for forming a design on the glass substrate, one or more colored glazes, and a clear glaze which covers the outer surfaces of the colored glazed glass substrate. The glass cloisonne article is translucent and flame resistant and can be used as a votive that can be illuminated by a candle or other illuminating means. The glass substrate can also be shaped into a vase to hold flowers and water. Various other designs can be made including, but not limited to, ornaments, Christmas ornaments, boxes, picture frames, coasters, etc.

摘要: Activity or craft apparatus and method for simply, quickly and inexpensively creating a thin lithophane-like pictorial work that provides a picture or image when light passes through the work from the rear. The work is formed from a formable translucent material. One form of illustrated apparatus comprises a generally closed container having a transparent see-through front wall. On the rearwardly inwardly facing side of the wall it has a contoured forming surface that is the reverse image of a desired contoured recessed picture-providing surface of a desired lithophane-type work. The illustrated container also has a second or rear wall that is generally parallel to and closely spaced from the front wall. The rear wall is translucent or transparent so that the light can pass through it from the rear. When the container is generally filled with translucent formable material, the material is thereby formed into a thin panel having, at is forward face where it meets and interfaces with the forming surface, the desired picture providing recessed front surface. Light passing from the rear through the translucent panel and transparent front wall, illuminates the lithophane-type picture. The translucent material occupying the container could be liquid, gas, powder, etc. as well as a formable solid material.

摘要: The invention relates to the bonding of bevels of relatively planar form and of material such as glass to a sheet of material such as a window pane or the like to provide a decorative effect. The invention provides in one aspect the use of a template which has at least one aperture in which one or a series of bevels are placed in the correct configuration. The template is formed so as to allow excess adhesive to flow onto the same rather than the sheet material so that when the adhesive is cured it can be peelably removed from the template rather than cause deposits on the sheet material. The adhesive used can withstand and be resistant to the effects of weathering over a prolonged period of time thereby improving the long term visual effect of the bevels when bonded to the sheet material.
