摘要: There is provided a three-wheeled vehicle that can maintain the ground contact surfaces of wheels and the road surface in contact with each other at all times, and that can suppress direct transmission of most of an impact from the road surface to a platform. First to third wheels are attached to a body frame that is rigid. The platform and the body frame are connected to each other by a connecting structure. First to third three degree of freedom non-restricted connecting mechanisms and first to third three degree of freedom restricted connecting mechanisms that form the connecting structure are deformed to allow the platform to make a bouncing motion, a rolling motion, a pitching motion, and a combined motion thereof within a restricted range when an impact is applied to the body frame from the road surface.

摘要: Apparatus for precisely, rigidly and releasably mounting the drive wheels to a wheelchair while imparting customized camber and toe adjustments to the wheels. A pair of precisely fixed surfaces integral with the wheelchair frame imparts a predetermined base camber to the drive wheels, and interchangeable members are provided for imparting smaller preselected adjustments to the large base camber and for mounting the wheels to the frame with camber angles equal to the base camber as adjusted by the interchangeable members. The interchangeable members may also include preselected toe adjustments to be imparted to the mounted wheels.

摘要: A vehicle lamp control system which, with the ignition switch closed, automatically energizes the lamps after a first time delay in darkness and deenergizes the lamps after a second time delay in light and, in darkness, automatically deenergizes the lamps after a third time delay when the ignition switch is opened and energizes the lamps after a fourth time delay when the ignition switch is closed. The time delay circuit consists of a capacitor and a plural number of resistors. The lamp switching circuit also controls the time delay circuit by connecting a different resistor with the capacitor in an RC timing circuit to produce each time delay.

摘要: An improved mechanical support arrangement is provided for a vehicle having a pod for transporting passengers. The pod is supported on front and rear vertical posts mounted on the ends of a main elongated horizontal support member. The shaft member rests on the front axle of the vehicle transverse thereto with the ends of the shaft extending in opposite directions therefrom. Means are secured to the ends of the shaft to support the support member away from the axle. A pair of diagonal strut members connect from the ends of the axle to the rearwardly extending end of the shaft. A pair of hydraulic units connect the ends of the axle diagonally upwardly to the vertical post.

摘要: A driving wheel supporting system wherein a pair of plate-like brackets is secured respectively to left and right frames of a vehicle body, and a pipe extends between the brackets for supporting a driving axle shaft, the pipe having one end welded to one of the brackets. An intermediate portion of the pipe is welded to the other bracket and the other end of the pipe projects outwardly from the other bracket. The driving axle shaft is disposed in the pipe and has one end portion supported on a bearing mounted in the other end of the pipe, the one end portion of the driving axle shaft supporting thereon one of left and right wheels. Also provided is a final power transmission unit including a transmission mechanism mounted on the one bracket at one surface thereof extending in a plane outside the frames, the other end of the driving axle shaft being connected to the transmission mechanism. The driving wheel supporting system as thus constructed is reduced in weight and has great strength and rigidity.
