摘要： The bogie comprises an axle (14) rotatably mounted on a fixed underframe, and measurement apparatus for measuring a physical magnitude related to rotation of the axle (14). The measurement apparatus (34) comprises a metal disk (36) secured to the axle (14) and provided with at least one mark-forming perforation (40), and a fixed detection assembly (50) for detecting the mark, which assembly comprises at least one inductive proximity detector (52). Preferably, the disk (26) is fixed to a collector ring (26) of a current return assembly (24) for transferring the current coming from a motor of the bogie to the axle (14).

摘要： A truck or double bogie having forward and rear elemental bogies (1, 2). The vehicle body is carried at the middle by a spanner bolster or two longitudinal coupling beams (8, 9) which are supported, at each end and on each elemental bogie, on the ends of a transverse swingle bar (12, 13), resilient blocks (15) being inserted between the swingle bar and the bolsters (3, 4) of the elemental bogie. The buffer and coupling bodies (34) are arranged at the end of a guide shaft (32) which is freely articulated on a vertical central pivot (30) rigidly fixed to the vehicle body and on the vertical pivot (5) of the forward elemental bogie (1). 摘要： A railroad car bearing adapter assembly configured to be employed in combination with a high warp restraint truck (with or without an auxiliary or original warp restraint system), and including a low profile thickness and relatively longitudinally narrow roller bearing adapter, a low profile adapter shear pad with a shear stiffness in a range of 85,000 lbs/in to 125,000 lbs/inch, and side wear pad that in combination total clearance in a range of 0.09 inches to 0.36 inches between the side frame thrust lugs and the adapter with the side wear pads. This overall combination reduces wheel wear and damage, reduces fuel consumption, reduces the need for railroad track repair, improves high speed stability and curving performance for both empty cars and loaded cars, provides more truck stability under a loaded car in shallow curves and while encountering certain perturbations, and provides optimum curving performance that enables the axles to better align with curves of relatively high degrees.

摘要： An elastomeric pad is provided for use in a railway car truck that includes two sideframes and a bolster. Each sideframe has a pedestal opening at each end to receive a bearing adapter assembly. The bearing adapter assembly includes a cast steel bearing adapter that is formed to fit on top of an axle bearing assembly. An elastomeric pad, comprised of a selected hardness elastomer, is fit on top of the bearing adapter. Contact buttons extend from the top surface and bottom surface of the elastomeric pad and are received in openings in the elastomeric pad. A conductor provides an electrical connection between the contact buttons.
