Abstract:
An artificial turf having a seam that approximates a sine wave, preferably a wave with a peak-to-peak distance of twelve inches and an amplitude of 1.4375 inches according to a preferred algorithm to form a wave that is repeated continuously along the length of the turf, producing a scalloped edge. An equation is provided to specify the exact measurements and the application to the turf edge, providing a precise choice of amplitude and periodicity to match the turf beds. The use of the sine seam is virtually invisible, creating a contiguous turf surface. The precision cut allows the turf fibers to perfectly eliminate any visible junction between pieces.
Abstract:
Device for manually lifting a load with a lever for a cart, suitcase and the like, making it easier to ascend and descend staircases and various obstacles, said device comprising two parts:—a first part comprising: a frame (1) secured to wheels (2), the wheels (2) and the handles (3) being fixed to the frame (1),—a second part comprising: a load support (4) secured to wheels (5), the wheels (5) and a load (12) being mounted in a fixed manner on the load support (4), the second part being able to slide with respect to the first part by the action of a telescopic lever arm (10) in order to ascend a step of a staircase in two phases, the telescopic lever arm (10) being fixed to the handles (3) by an articulation (9), a second articulation (8) connecting the telescopic lever arm (10) to a transmission (6) which is in turn connected by a third articulation (7) to the load support (4) of the second part.
Abstract:
A foldable luggage carrier includes a frame, a supporting tray and a pair of wheeled carriages. The tray has a pair of pivot brackets pivotally connected to two leg portions of the frame such that the tray is pivotable between a forwardly extended position and a fold-up position. Each of the pivot brackets includes a pair of opposed plates and a cam portion at a corner. Each of the wheeled carriages includes a wheel bracket having a sleeve bearing rotatably supported on the leg portions of the frame to permit the wheeled carriages to pivot between rearwardly extended positions and folded-in positions. The sleeve bearing has a guiding slope section at a bottom to interact with each cam portion of the pivot bracket in a manner such that the wheeled carriages automatically pivot to the folded-in positions and the rearwardly extended positions when the tray is moved between the fold-up position and the forwardly extended position.
Abstract:
The handling properties of two-wheeled trolleys may be materially improved by arranging for the freely rotatable wheels (1, 2) to be able to move to a certain extent relative to the frame or load-receiving container portions (3, 4, 5) of the trolley in a direction parallel to the direction of travel of the trolley. This can be achieved by mounting the trolley wheels (1, 2) so that they, and the axles (32) on which they are mounted for free rotation, can, preferably independently, swivel about a horizontal axis displaced from (and lower than) the level at which the wheels are mounted on their respective axles. The wheels are preferably set at a high positive camber angle. Letting the wheels swivel materially improves handling on rough terrain. The trolley is preferably foldable to save space when being transported or stored.
Abstract:
A motor grader blade lift tool comprises a handle mechanically coupled to a center riser. The center riser is further mechanically coupled to a bottom round tubing. The bottom round tubing is further mechanically coupled to a bottom bar square tubing. The bottom bar square tubing is mechanically coupled to a first blade stop and a second blade stop. The first blade stop is mechanically coupled to a first pin and the second blade stop is mechanically coupled to a second pin. The first pin and the second pin can fit through cavities on a motor grader blade to support the motor grader blade on the blade lift tool.
Abstract:
A container includes a peripheral wall having a first side, a second side, and a third side formed from a single sheet of metal material. The sheet of metal material has opposite first and second connecting ends. A plastic connector is connected to the first connecting end and the second connecting end of the sheet metal, and a plastic bottom is connected with a bottom end of the peripheral wall. Another aspect provides a container that includes a sheet of metal having a louver formed therein and a plastic structure having opposing surfaces that define a receiving space therebetween. At least one of the surfaces has a projection thereon and the louver are received within the receiving space. An edge of the louver engages with the projection to prevent the louver from being removed from the receiving space.
Abstract:
A container assembly designed for the collection, temporary storage and transport of refuse, waste material or other objects includes a housing having a hollow interior in which the refuse is collected and stored and a supplementary support structure at least partially defined by a support platform which may extend outwardly from the housing into an operative position to support and have mounted thereon one or more objects or containers of additional refuse material. The supplementary support structure may be retracted into a stored position when the transport of materials on the exterior of the housing is not intended. The housing and hollow interior are at least partially tapered such that at least two container assemblies can be concentrically stacked within one another when the supplementary support structure is in its stored position.
Abstract:
A handtruck is described for safely and securely supporting, storing, and transporting items of various sizes and shapes. The handtruck is comprised primarily of a pair of spaced substantially side rails interconnected by a plurality of cross-members, and one or more load carrying members removably fastened to one or more of the cross-members.
Abstract:
A retrofittable wheeled support for a dolly in which adjusting the length of the upper and lower frames adjusts the tilt angle at which the dolly is supported. Dolly ends of support tubes are detachably attachable to receivers that are mounted to the dolly frame so that the device can be easily removed or folded for storage. Dual wheel assemblies are provided for stability.
Abstract:
A two-wheeled hand truck comprising a pair of side frames molded from highstrength plastic formed in an open truss with compression and tensile members. The side frames are held in a rigid parallel relationship to each other by cross rails, handles and a toe plate with integral stiffeners attached to the side frames.
