    摘要： The handling properties of two-wheeled trolleys may be materially improved by arranging for the freely rotatable wheels (1, 2) to be able to move to a certain extent relative to the frame or load-receiving container portions (3, 4, 5) of the trolley in a direction parallel to the direction of travel of the trolley. This can be achieved by mounting the trolley wheels (1, 2) so that they, and the axles (32) on which they are mounted for free rotation, can, preferably independently, swivel about a horizontal axis displaced from (and lower than) the level at which the wheels are mounted on their respective axles. The wheels are preferably set at a high positive camber angle. Letting the wheels swivel materially improves handling on rough terrain. The trolley is preferably foldable to save space when being transported or stored.

    摘要： A wheel bracket mounting structure which includes an elongated and flexible bracket member having an axle mounting section and a stem mounting section at generally opposite ends thereof. The axle mounting section includes a generally flat, platelike portion. The stem mounting section includes an elongate, generally arcuate stem adapted to be directly attached to a support member on a wheeled vehicle. An intermediate section is provided between the axle mounting section and the stem mounting section. A segment is provided at the juncture between the intermediate section and the flat, platelike portion to provide a region remote from the arcuate stem about which the platelike portion can elastically flex relative to the arcuate stem.

The system includes rolling support members that may be discs, annuli, cones or similar bodies of revolution. With the preferred orientation of the rolling supports, an effective radius several times the actual radius of the rolling support results. A self-adjusting differential is also obtained from one application of the principles.Shock absorbing and braking assemblies can also be incorporated in the system.

    摘要： A two-wheel castor, especially for a chair or a similar piece of furniture, consisting of a supporting member which is adapted to be mounted on the chair or the like and to support two wheels. The supporting member and the wheels are partly surrounded by a casing which is shaped like the periphery of a solid of revolution, e.g. a ball socket, which has an opening which is smaller than a diametrical cross-section, so that the wheels are well protected. The supporting member has a peripheral surface the shape of which corresponds to the shape of the inner surface of the casing. Thereby the supporting member can be mounted in the casing and kept in position without any latch means, and by a suitable dimensioning of the parts the wheels and the supporting member can be inserted in the casing through the opening in the casing.
