    摘要: A pouring spout for hand-held portable fuel tank incorporates a float valve to automatically shut off fuel flow through the spout when the fuel level in a receiving reservoir reaches a given spatial relationship with the outlet end of the spout. An axially displaceable locking magnet within the spout lock the valve in the closed position. The locking magnet is released from its locking position by an unlatching magnet incorporated in a sealing cap. The unlatching magnet cancels the magnetic force that holds the magnetic valve in the closed position, thereby allowing it to move to its open position only when the closure cap is in position to seal the spout. The locking mechanism includes an axially displaceable magnet of given axial length, that is captured within a sealed container positioned in the pouring spout. The sealed container has an axial length greater than the length of the magnet. The sealed container can be filled with a viscous fluid to slow axial displacement of the magnet as it moves from one axial end of the container to the other. The locking magnet is displaced to one end of the container when the spout is in the upright position, which the tank assumes when it is at rest, and moves to the opposite end of the container when the spout is in the inverted position that it assumes when the tank is tilted to fill a reservoir by pouring fluid out of the tank through the spout.

    摘要: A medicament tablet dispensing system and method dispenses any selected number of tablets, up to a maximum number, with minimal dispensing delays. During fill operations, a preset number of tablets are counted and stored in dedicated storage compartments. Dispensing operations are performed in response to dispense request commands. The fill operations are performed in a manner independent from the quantity of tablets identified by the dispense request commands. During the dispensing operations for a particular dispense request command, the preset number of tablets are emptied from one or more of the dedicated storage compartments, thereby avoiding delays associated with counting all of the dispensed tablets. Moreover, the fill operations and the dispensing operations may be performed in parallel for high-throughput dispensing applications.

    摘要: An overflow prevention system and method for storage tanks includes a flow disturber situated in the tank fill tube, a fluid level sensor for sensing fluid level in the tank, and an actuator that causes the flow disturber to move toward the fill tube inlet in response to rising fluid level sensed by the fluid level sensor. The flow disturber is arranged to travel between a first position in which it does not cause turbulent flow in the fill tube and a second position in which it causes turbulent flow. The actuator is responsive to the fluid level sensor to move the flow disturber to the second position when a predetermined fluid level is reached. The transition to turbulent flow triggers the automatic shut-off feature of the dispensing nozzle to prevent the tank from being filled beyond the predetermined level.

The control member is a trigger provided with a notch which comprises two parts in which may slide an element fast with a lever articulated on the valve. Depending on the part where this element slides, a transmission of effort between the trigger and the lever is, or is not, possible.
