    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an auger dip apparatus for the application of antimicrobial solution to raw food. Embodiments of the present disclosure may use an auger as a single moving part to move the food work pieces through the application area for antimicrobial solution. Embodiments of the present disclosure are simple with only one moving auger part to move the food pieces, and the bearing for the moving part, supporting the shaft of the auger, may be configured to be outside of the cabinet with the reservoir of the antimicrobial solution, so that the bearing is not in contact with the antimicrobial solution. This provides for less maintenance and downtime, particularly unscheduled downtime, than a system using more complicated exposed parts. The present disclosure also permits a more compact and lighter configuration for an assembled application unit.

    摘要: A method for the handling of coreless auger, which is produced by an auger production machine from which the coreless auger emerges with a linear motion component and a rotational motion component, includes guiding the rotating auger for linear movement away from the production machine toward a temporary storage facility that has a cylindrical receptacle rotatable about its own axis and a coaxial rotatable feed guide having an axial inlet for formed auger and an outwardly directed outlet for directing formed auger toward an inner periphery of the cylindrical receptacle. The cylindrical receptacle is rotated and the feed guide is allowed to rotate about the axis of its inlet that is roughly coincident with the axis of auger entering the axial inlet of the feed guide. The cylindrical receptacle is rotated at a speed selected to counteract the rotation of the auger about its own axis.

    摘要: In a grain cart having an auger fold actuator, a gate actuator, and at least one spout actuator, a grain cart control system has an input device received within an operator cab to generate command signals responsive to operator commands, an electronic controller operatively associated with selected actuators of the grain cart, a valve actuator connected to each valve of the selected actuators of the grain cart, and stored programmable criteria to generate activation signals for the valve actuators in response to the command signals. Each mechanical function that is controlled also has a rotary potentiometer for positional feedback. To actuate any sequence, a joystick will send commands to the controller to activate a sequence. Since the controls according to the present invention are driven by a logic-based controller, various functions can be automated.

    摘要: A feeder for bulk solids has a rotatable bin with an open bottom and an open top and is tilted so that one side of the bin is substantially vertical. A rotating auger is located within the bin having a vertically oriented exposed helical fin. Longitudinal ribs are secured on an inner surface of the bin and spaced radially. Material is loaded into the open top of the rotating bin, tumbling the material toward the bottom of the bin causing the material to constantly contact the rotating auger. The auger then feeds the material through the open bottom of the bin. Ribs engage the material in the bin enhancing tumbling and feeding.

A conical working-face of the bullnose rotating scoop has symmetrically distributed graters and vents to break loose and force-in granular material from natural deposits and cargo holds. The bullnose rotating scoop and the open-helical screw its attached to move the material into a continuous layer on the inside surface of an outer stationary sheathing. A motor drive attached to the open-helical screw above at the delivery end provides the lifting force necessary.

    摘要: An installation for the surface treatment of workpieces has a housing with a treatment chamber. The workpieces are conveyed through the chamber by an apparatus which continuously advances the workpieces while simultaneously tumbling the same. The apparatus includes an elongated, generally horizontal cage-like receptacle which extends through the chamber and a motor for rotating the receptacle on its longitudinal axis to thereby tumble the workpieces. The receptacle has an end wall to either side of the chamber and the end walls are joined to one another by a tubular shell made up of a series of elongated components such as rods or wires. The elongated components, which are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the receptacle, are circumferentially spaced so that a medium for the surface treatment of workpieces being tumbled in the shell can penetrate the latter. The end walls of the receptacle can be pivoted so that the normals to the end walls make an acute angle with the longitudinal axis of the receptacle and this results in lengthwise movement of the elongated components as the receptacle rotates. Such lengthwise movement causes the workpieces to advance through the treatment chamber as the workpieces are tumbled. The elongated components are connected to one another, at least in the portion of the shell which is located in the chamber, in order to strengthen the shell and to allow the latter to confine flat workpieces.
