The apparatus allows the user to select and withdraw the amount of water needed in a closely controlled fashion while any unused water remains in the loop where it is continually purified. A control valve with a manually rotatable spool permits the purified water to be adjustably tapped or withdrawn for various end uses.

Porous ceramics provided with amorphous pore surfaces are prepared by mixing clay, a pore forming material and water, molding into an arbitrary shape followed by drying, heating up an molded article thus dried, heating up an article temperature from normal temperature to 600 to 800° C. over a time period of 5 to 15 hours, maintaining this temperature for 3 to 7 hours and then calcinating at 1,200 to 1,500° C.

    摘要: This invention relates to wastewater treatment, process and preferred systems for practice of the process for the removal of organic and inorganic ingredients contaminating wastewater, thereby to allow the reuse or sewer discharge of water used in various manufacturing and other processes. The process of the invention typically involves initial filtration of the wastewater and contact with a paste mixture consisting of magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, calcium carbonate, magnesium orthophosphate, ferric sulfate, sodium hydrocarbonate, and activated carbon, the activated carbon removing organics such as dyes and the like while the paste mixture precipitates inorganics for subsequent mechanical removal. After treatment with the paste mixture, precipitating compounds are added to precipitate other inorganics. Flocculating agents are then added for further clarification purposes. Material removal then occurs by mechanical extraction including filtration, settling and the like. Chlorine is preferably effectively removed from the system during chemical treatment through initial acidification, thereby to reduce the potential for formation of highly soluble chloride salts. The present processes are preferably continuous or batch processes and are effected through the use of preferred systems including filtration, chemical treatment and settling sub-systems.

    摘要: A method and system for the recuperation of the content of septic tank where the supernatant is returned to the septic tank after the recuperation of the sludge and of the scum is described herein. According to the method of the present invention, a major portion of the supernatant is advantageously recuperated from the top of the septic tank to the bottom thereof, and stored in a first reservoir of the system. The sludge, the remainder of the supernatant and the scum are then recuperated and stored in a second reservoir. The supernatant is filtered, either upon its recuperation or before its return to the septic tank. Finally, the filtered supernatant is returned to the septic tank.
