摘要: A stirrer includes a shaft, and a plurality of stirring blades mounted on the shaft along a longitudinal direction of the shaft. The stirrer is configured to stir molten glass in a stirring vessel by causing the plurality of stirring blades to turn about the shaft in association with rotation of the shaft. The plurality of stirring blades (blade bodies) each have a through opening and a distal end portion extending along the longitudinal direction of the shaft. The plurality of stirring blades are mounted on the shaft so that, when the plurality of stirring blades turn about the shaft, the stirring blades that are closer to one end side of the shaft are delayed in phase around the shaft with respect to the stirring blades on another end side of the shaft.

摘要: The present invention provides a stirrer for manufacturing glass including a stirrer shaft and a multi-staged rod-shaped stirrer blade fixed so as to penetrate through the stirrer shaft. This stirrer blade is a hollow cylindrical body including: a cylinder obtained by seam welding of two opposing sides of a flat plate made, for example, from strengthened platinum containing platinum or a platinum alloy as a matrix and metallic oxide dispersed in the plate; and a disk welded to an entire circumference of both ends of the cylinder and made from an identical material, and it penetrates so that a weld line crosses a center axis of the stirrer shaft, and is fixed so that a locus of an end portion of the blade forms a spiral shape. In addition, the rod-shaped stirrer blade has a core layer showing a dispersed structure that exists in a cross-sectional structure at a fixing portion with the stirrer shaft and does not receive heat effect resulting from fixing. The present invention is effective in stirring of molten glass having high viscosity, and has enhanced stirring operation and improved durability against deformation and damage.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for producing glass products from a glass melt, avoiding bubble formation, are disclosed, wherein the apparatus includes a crucible and an internally component for processing the glass melt, and wherein, for heating the glass melt, the apparatus comprises an AC generator which energizes the crucible or stirring crucible via electrical connection elements. The component or stirring system is connected via a current-limiting choke having a variable impedance with the power supply elements. The impedance of the current-limiting choke is adjusted so that a AC density existing in the glass melt lies between a lower limit value and an upper limit value. By means of a choke and by adjusting the impedance it can be achieved that the AC load of the system can be minimized and that simultaneously the water decomposition reaction at the precious metal surfaces can positively be influenced.

摘要: An apparatus for melting and refining a silica-based glass composition includes a vertical first reaction chamber having an input adjacent to a lower end for receiving glass-forming components. The glass-forming components are heated to elevated temperature during upward flow through the vertical first reaction chamber to form a glass precursor melt adjacent to an upper end of the vertical first reaction chamber. A vertical second reaction chamber has an input adjacent to an upper end and an output adjacent to a lower end for delivering glass melt. A cross passage connects the upper end of the vertical first reaction chamber to the upper end of the vertical second reaction chamber such that the precursor melt flows from the vertical first reaction chamber through the cross passage and then through the vertical second reaction chamber to homogenize the precursor melt. Vacuum preferably is applied to the cross passage both to assist upward flow through the vertical first reaction chamber, and to assist refining of the precursor melt during such upward flow and during flow through the cross passage.

摘要: A method for producing a glass includes forming a horizontal stream of molten glass and mixing the stream. The mixing is created by rotatingly driving n shafts, n being a whole number equal to or greater than two, each having an axis, two adjacent shafts being separated by a distance with their axes parallel and with each of the two adjacent shafts connected to a rod located at least in part in the stream and each of the rods having an axis parallel to the axis of the shaft to which it is connected. For the two adjacent axes, the distance between the axis of one rod and the axis of the shaft to which it is connected is in excess of or equal to 9/20 of the distance between the axes of the two shafts. The two adjacent shafts are rotatingly driven in opposite directions with respect to one another.

摘要: A vacuum melting furnace for infrared glass, includes an upper furnace body and a lower furnace body that can be connected with each other or isolated from each other. Vacuum melting of the infrared glass is achieved in the upper furnace body wherein the influence of water in the environment is eliminated. The vacuum negative pressure environments can promote separation of hydroxyl in the structure, which achieves removing of hydroxyl in the glass, and then discharging of the molten infrared glass is conducted at atmospheric pressure in the lower furnace body. By using the vacuum melting furnace for infrared glass, infrared glass with good spectrum transmission performance can be obtained with improved property stability and optical homogeneity, which facilitates the preparation and molding of large sized and special-shaped infrared glass products.

The stirrer has a shaft and at least one stirring element, and the stirring vessel has at least two baffles extending from an inner circumferential surface. The stirring element and baffles are formed in such a way that insertion of the stirrer into the stirring vessel requires at least one translatory movement of the stirrer in relation to the stirring vessel, at least one subsequent or simultaneous relative rotation of the stirrer in relation to the stirring vessel, and a further translatory movement of the stirrer in relation to the stirring vessel. In an operating state, the stirrer is rotatable in the stirring vessel.
