    摘要： A device for the production of a boucle type fancy yarn comprises two off-center rotating members engaging, via off-center bearings, a central element which remains stationary. The central element carries a triangular tool having a lower extension flanked by two entraining means. An effect yarn is fed by one of the rotating members in order to form turns around the tool and its extension. A first core yarn, which acts as a binding yarn, is fed along the extension to pass within the turns of the effect yarn, while a second core yarn engages the effect yarn turns from the outside.

    摘要： The flocked filamentary element of this invention is a three-component system including: (1) a strength-imparting component in the form of a core-strand having a denier no greater than 40, and including at least one polymeric filament; (2) an adhesive component adhering the filaments of the core-strand together (when the core-strand includes more than one filament), and providing a layer around the periphery of the core-strand; and (3) an outer flock of substantially individualized cellulosic fibers, such as wood pulp fibers, adhered to the adhesive layer. The individualized cellulosic fibers have an average fiber length in the papermaking range, i.e., less than one-quarter inch (6.35 millimeters) and greater than about one millimeter, and constitute over 50% of the weight of the filamentary element. Fibrous structures, such as non-woven webs, woven webs, knit fabrics and yarns, formed from a plurality of the filamentary elements also constitute a part of the invention.

    摘要： Two chenille yarns each composed of at least two core threads twisted to secure projecting short lengths of chenille effect material are produced simultaneously on a machine which continuously supplies two individual core threads from bobbins mounted in a head through a stationary tubular spindle to a mandrel. One or more threads of chenille effect material are supplied from a bobbin that is mounted at a distance from the head via a stationary thread guide to a rotating thread guide arranged below and laterally of the core thread bobbins on a rotating hollow spindle surrounding the stationary core thread spindle. The rotation of the lower thread guide causes the chenille effect thread to rotate and spin out in a balloon shape around the core thread bobbins in an unobstructed tubular space provided. The rotating thread is wound in a spiral around the core threads on the mandrel and two further core threads are applied to the outside of the spiral from further core thread bobbins. The spiral is cut and the two pairs of core threads with chenille effect material between them are twisted into the desired yarn. The core thread spindle is kept stationary by magnetic attraction to an adjacent fixed portion of the machine across the unobstructed tubular space. The chenille effect thread bobbins can be replenished without halting the machine.

    摘要： A method and an apparatus for concurrently fabricating a number of condenser yarns having two or more wadder filaments twisted upon each other and twiner elements which are twined between and around the wadder filaments. The wadder filaments fed in a number of groups are shed and receive a twiner filament in shed in manners similar to the feeding of warps and wefts in a usual loom. Upon beating of the twiner filament onto the wadder filaments, the twiner filament is cut to a number of twiner elements which are allocated respectively to the individual groups of the wadder filaments. The wadder filaments thus carrying the twiner elements are then twisted upon each other so that the twiner elements are twined between and around the wadder filaments thus spun.
