摘要: The present invention provides an elastic network structure that has excellent cushioning properties and makes less sound when it is compressed and recovers its shape. A network structure including a three-dimensional random loop bonded structure obtained by forming random loops by curling treatment of a continuous linear structure comprising a thermoplastic resin, and by making each loop mutually contact in a molten state to weld the majority of contacted parts, wherein (a) the continuous linear structure is a hollow cross section, (b) the degree of hollowness of the hollow cross section is not less than 10% and not more than 50%, (c) the fiber diameter of the continuous linear structure is not less than 0.10 mm and not more than 0.65 mm, and (d) the number of bonded points per unit weight of the random loop bonded structure is not less than 200/g and less than 500/g.

摘要: A spunbonded nonwovens is made by first spinning thermoplastic continuous filaments and emitting them from a spinneret in a direction and then passing the filaments in the direction through a cooling chamber. Meanwhile cooling air is fed from respective manifolds flanking the chamber into the chamber to cool the filaments and the cooling air is guided into the manifolds through respective manifolds and through respective planar homogenizing elements each having a plurality of openings forming a free open surface area constituting 1 to 40% of the total surface area of the respective planar homogenizing element. The cooling air passes from the planar homogenizing element into the cooling chamber through a flow straightener.

摘要: In a process for producing tubular shaped fibrous articles of small diameter by heating and cooling a fibrous bundle containing at least 20 weight % of hot-melt-adhesive composite fibers, the improvements comprise using a shaping apparatus including an injecting chamber, an injecting hole formed in the wall of the chamber, a fibrous bundle outlet provided with a nozzle of a desired shape in cross-section, a cylindrical pipe for introducing the fibrous bundle, which has a cross-sectional area larger than that of the outlet, is located at a position opposite to the outlet and projects toward the outlet and terminates in the injecting chamber, and a core pipe which is open at its base on the outside of the injecting chamber, has its one end inserted through the cylindrical pipe and extending into the nozzle through the injecting chamber, and having a vent in its portion exposed within the injecting chamber, and passing the fibrous bundle through the cylindrical pipe to the outlet, while injecting a hot compressed gas through the injecting hole, thereby to heat and shape the fibrous bundle to and at its hot-melt-adhesive temperature.

摘要: An apparatus for making spunbonded nonwovens has a spinneret for emitting continuous thermoplastic filaments in a filament-travel direction, a cooling chamber downstream in the direction from the spinneret for cooling the spun filaments with cooling air, two manifolds on opposite sides of the cooling chamber opening transversely of the direction into the cooling chamber, and a respective conduit having a conduit cross-sectional area and connected to each manifold for feeding cooling air thereto. The conduit cross-sectional area increases toward the manifold to a manifold cross-sectional area, and manifold cross-sectional area is at least twice as large as the conduit cross-sectional area. At least one flow straightener is provided upstream from the cooling chamber in each manifold for orienting air flow in an air-flow direction, and at least one perforated planar homogenizing element is provided in each manifold for homogenizing the cooling air flow.
