    摘要: An apparatus for severing fiber bale ties and removing cut ties from a fiber bale includes a tie cutter for severing a metal tie surrounding the bale at a bale location; and a first metal sensor for responding to a presence of a metal tie around the bale. The first metal sensor is situated ahead of the tie cutter, whereby the first metal sensor passes by the bale tie prior to being severed by the tie cutter. There is further provided a second metal sensor for responding to a presence of a metal tie in engagement with the bale. The second metal sensor is situated after the tie cutter, whereby the second metal sensor trails the tie cutter relative to the fiber bale. The apparatus further has a device for displacing the bale and the first and second metal sensors relative to one another.

    摘要: An arrangement for ascertaining the presence of foreign bodies in a mass of fiber tufts includes a fiber tuft-supporting surface having a width; a device for providing a loose fiber tuft layer on the fiber tuft-supporting surface; and a foreign body detecting apparatus arranged for scanning the fiber tuft layer for foreign bodies. The foreign body detecting apparatus has a detector device formed of a plurality of individual sensors arranged side-by-side along the width of the surface. There is further provided a device for effecting relative displacement between the fiber tuft layer and the apparatus in a direction perpendicular to the surface width.

    摘要: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for detection of a magnetic substance erroneously included in a non-magnetic product. The non-magnetic product such as a sewn product is passed through a high magnetic field in which a magnetic field is applied to the product. The residual magnetization of a magnetic substance such as a broken needle mingled in the product is detected by a sensing unit and a signal of detection is transmitted to a measuring unit to measure the magnitude of detected residual magnetization. The presence or absence of the magnetic substance in the product is determined by a control unit based on the output from the measuring unit. Alternatively, a magnetic field may be preparatorily applied to a magnetic substance having the possibility of being mingled in the non-magnetic product thereby causing the magnetic substance to assume a state of possessing residual magnetization.
