    摘要: A gooseneck conduit assembly includes a gooseneck conduit including a vertically-extending portion, an upset formed on the vertically-extending portion, an alignment key extending laterally from the vertically-extending portion, and a lower coupling at a lower end of the vertically-extending portion; a second conduit configured to connect to an auxiliary fluid line connected to and extending along a riser string that extends to a subsea wellhead, the second conduit including a receiving end configured to form a connection with the lower coupling; and a frame configured to be connected to the riser string. The frame includes an upper bracket vertically offset from a lower bracket to which the second conduit is secured, an alignment groove configured to slidably receive the alignment key so as to maintain a coaxial alignment between the vertically-extending portion of the gooseneck conduit and the second conduit, and a locking member pivotally coupled to the upper bracket.

The first linkage member and the keyed shaft are configured to rotate together to transfer a force generated by an actuator to adjust a plate of the tool trap from a closed position to an open position. One or more gaps exist within the opening between the first linkage member and the keyed shaft to enable relative motion between the first linkage member and the keyed shaft to enable the tool to drive the plate from the closed position to the open position without back driving the actuator during withdrawal of the tool across the tool trap.

    摘要: Methods for erecting a drilling structure on a drilling rig include hoisting a first end of a column racker with a support carried by a mast on the drilling rig while the column racker is in a first position, and advancing a second end of a column racker along a solid surface toward the mast while simultaneously hoisting the first end of the column racker to move the column racker toward a second position that is closer to vertical than the first position. Other methods include raising a first end of a column racker with a ground-based, powered lift structure, and introducing the first end of the column racker to the rig floor while supporting the weight of the column racker with the ground-based, powered lift structure.

    摘要: In one embodiment, the present disclosure provides an apparatus and method for supporting a tubing bundle during installation or removal. The apparatus includes a clamp for securing the tubing bundle to an external wireline. In various examples, the clamp is external to the tubing bundle or integral with the tubing bundle. According to one method, a tubing bundle and wireline are deployed together and the tubing bundle periodically secured to the wireline using a clamp. In another embodiment, the present disclosure provides an apparatus and method for coupling conduit segments together. A first pump obtains a sample and transmits it through a first conduit to a reservoir accessible by a second pump. The second pump further conducts the sample from the reservoir through a second conduit. In a specific example, one or more clamps are used to connect the first and/or second conduits to an external wireline.

    摘要: A cylindrical ring sized to slide over the box end of an oilfield tubular having a given diameter, has a shoulder at one its ends and a sidewall along its length. The sidewall has a circumferential groove about its interior surface housing a band which can be made tight against the exterior surface of the oilfield tubular by a latch accessible through a slot in the sidewall, and which becomes even tighter if the tubular attempts to escape from the band. In a first orientation, the cylindrical ring is used as a load ring. By turning the cylindrical rings upside down, the cylindrical ring is used as a thread protector for the pin end of the tubular.

    摘要: A pipe lay down machine which incorporates a main cable adapted to be rigged from the rig floor to a winch overlying a pipe rack where the winch is bidirectionally operable to slack the main line. Wheeled carriages travel up and down the main line. The carriages support releasable pipe connective mechanisms which have a flexible cable extending around the pipe connected to a quick release mechanism. The quick release mechanism includes a transverse bar having protruding ears or tabs which interlock with a rolled lip, thereby anchoring the lever and the end of the cable. Pipe is picked up or laid down by placing slack in the main cable. The carriages traverse the main cable by means of separate winches which apply power to auxiliary lines rigged from winches which are bidirectionally operable to the carriages.Alternative quick release mechanisms are disclosed. In one form, a cable is looped about the pipe and beneath a spring load pin. The pin is pushed to close and cable tension holds it closed. The delivery of the pipe to the destination is accompanied by slacking the cable whereupon the spring loaded pin is withdrawn and releases the cable. A very desirable alternative device is a hook having an arm appended to it. The arm is easily handled and the hook reaches over a cable or rope looped around a pipe to be lifted. The arm is weighted to drop free on slacking the load on the cable. The handle is weighted to drop away and release.
