    摘要: The container or trailer is separated into three inner compartments: a rear compartment in which the motor of the power generator is located, a front compartment in which the radiators for cooling the motor are located, with the radiators being operatively linked to the motor in a conventional fashion with cooling fluid pipes, and an intermediate compartment between the front and rear compartments. Air channels link the front compartment with the intermediate compartment, and the rear compartment with the intermediate compartment. A first fresh air intake port is provided in the trailer side wall in the rear compartment, for cooling the flywheel of the motor, and a second fresh air intake port is provided in the trailer side wall in the front compartment, for cooling the radiators. A warm air outlet port is provided in the trailer ceiling in the intermediate compartment. A plenum fan is operatively installed in the intermediate compartment, sucking in air from both the front and rear compartments, and exhausting through the outlet port.

    摘要: In an engine generating machine, a power-generating unit constructed by integration of the an engine and a generator, is housed in a case including an undercover and a pair of left and right side covers. A pair of reinforcing frames are coupled at their lower ends to the undercover and extend upwards along inner surfaces of the left and right side covers. The reinforcing frames have upper ends coupled to each other and are commonly fastened to a carrying handle. A fuel tank is supported inside the reinforcing frames, and a fuel pump and a fuel cock are mounted on the reinforcing frames. Thus, the maintenance of a fuel supply system for the engine can be facilitated, and the fuel tank can be protected while avoiding an increase in weight.

    摘要: Containment systems for use with portable power modules trailerable over public roads and capable of providing at least approximately one megawatt of electrical power. In one embodiment, the portable power module includes a shipping container housing a gaseous fuel motor drivably connected to an electrical generator. In one aspect of this embodiment, the containment system includes a containment member having a substantially horizontal portion and a plurality of substantially vertical portions contiguously and sealably attached to the horizontal portion to form a vessel. The containment member is positioned inside the container beneath the motor and the generator and extends at least substantially over the entire bottom portion of the container conforming to the interior dimensions of the container to prevent liquids, such as coolants, lubricants, and water, from leaking out of the container onto adjacent property.

    摘要: An air-cooled charge air cooler for vehicles with a coolant-filled pre-cooler oriented in an air collection tank of the charge air cooler. The pre-cooler is sized to contact a majority of the charge air entering the charge air cooler. The pre-cooler has flow paths carrying coolant between manifolds of the pre-cooler and the flow paths define channels therethrough to direct charge air through the pre-cooler and into a cooling grate of the charge cooler. The channels have a depth that allows for a corresponding adjustment in the length of the cooling grate of the charge air cooler while maintaining the overall space requirement for the charge air cooler in a vehicle and meeting the increasing performance requirements for such charge air coolers.

    摘要: A method and a device for operating a heating and cooling machine, in particular a Vuilleumier heat pump, that functions on the basis of a regenerative gas cyclic process are described. The device includes a burner as the source of thermal driving, energy in which, to increase its efficiency or to maximize an output number of the heating and cooling machine, the combustion air conveyed to the burner is preheated in a heat exchange with exhaust gases. It is proposed that, for increasing the output performance of the heating and cooling machine, the preheating of the combustion air is forestalled at least partially. In response to a simultaneous increase of the burner output, the hot exhaust-gas mass-flow is conveyed to an exhaust-gas-water heat-exchanger. In this manner, a output of the heating and cooling machine system is increased in an advantageous manner, without having to change the design data or the size of the heating and cooling machine.

    摘要: In an engine operated machine, an engine and a generator formed integrally with each other are covered with a shroud and a fan cover to form a power-generating unit. A head cover of the engine is mounted to protrude from an upper surface of the shroud, and the head cover is resiliently supported on a carrying handle of a case with a rubber bushing positioned therebetween. When the carrying handle is lifted, the weight of the power-generating unit is supported directly by the carrying handle without being applied to the case. Therefore, it is unnecessary to specially reinforce the case, thereby enabling a reduction in weight, and also increasing the degree of freedom of the design such as the shape and material of the case. Thus, when the engine operated machine is transported using the carrying handle, the weight of the engine and the working device can be reliably supported.
