    摘要: A method for controlling a pitch angle of blades of a cooling fan of associated with a radiator of an engine, the blades extending radially from a central hub, the fan having an axis. The method includes regulating a pitch angle of the blades from a first limit value for which a cooling flux of the cooling fan has a first value to a second limit value for which the cooling flux has a second value greater than the first value. The pitch angle is determined based on quantities measured in the engine. The method further includes steps of detecting an engine speed; calculating a first derivative of the engine speed to detect accelerations of the engine; comparing the calculated first derivative with a threshold value and if the calculated first derivative is greater than the threshold value, setting the pitch angle to the first minimum limit value.

    摘要: A hybrid heat transfer assembly includes operating equipment having a coolant loop including a cooling fluid inlet and a cooling fluid outlet. A radiator has a radiator inlet connected to the cooling fluid outlet, and a radiator outlet connected to the cooling fluid inlet. A radiator fan proximate the radiator directs air across the radiator. A chiller includes an evaporator having an evaporator inlet connected to the cooling fluid outlet, and an evaporator outlet connected to the cooling fluid inlet. A compressor is connected to the evaporator, a condenser is connected to the compressor, and an expansion valve is connected to the condenser and evaporator. A refrigerant loop connects the evaporator and compressor, the condenser and compressor, and the expansion valve to the condenser and the evaporator. A condenser fan proximate the condenser directs air across the condenser.

The first and second flexible retainers may be configured to engage opposing longitudinal ends of the heat exchanger responsive to insertion of the heat exchanger into the bracket container.

    摘要: A vehicle is provided which includes an engine and a radiator. The radiator with circulating coolant fluid includes a plurality of embedded heat pipes each having (a) a body with first and second opposing ends, (b) a wicking material, and (c) a thermal transfer fluid, wherein said body of said heat pipe encloses an interior volume, and wherein said wicking material and said working fluid are disposed in said interior volume of said heat pipe. The first end of the heat pipe extracts heat from the engine, and the second end of the heat pipe transfers heat from the heat pipe to an atmosphere external to the engine. The heat transfer fluid transfers heat from the first end of said heat pipe to the second end of said heat pipe, and the wicking material transfers the heat transfer fluid from the second end of the heat pipe to the first end of the heat pipe.
