Abstract: The invention relates to a valve for opening and closing a flow path, comprising a drive motor, comprising a valve disk, comprising a valve tappet and comprising a transmission device for converting rotational movement of the drive motor into translatory movement of the valve disk, wherein the valve disk is connected to the valve tappet and is able to be moved by way of movement of the valve tappet, wherein the transmission device is formed from flexible elements and at least one toothed segment which is mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation, wherein only tensile forces are able to be transmitted by the flexible elements, and wherein the toothed segment is able to be at least partially wrapped around by the flexible elements by way of rotational movement.

Abstract: An assembly for a control device may include a housing part, a shaft rotatably supported on the housing part via a bearing device separate from the housing part, and a magnetic field sensor attached to the housing part, the magnetic field sensor interacting with a magnetic element attached to the shaft for conjoint rotation to determine a rotational angle position of the shaft in relation to the housing part. A bearing element of the bearing device may be received in a housing wall portion of the housing part configured in a complementary manner to the bearing element. On a face side of the shaft facing the magnetic field sensor, a recess may be formed in which the magnetic element may be at least partially received. The housing wall portion may be configured as a web with a ring segment-shaped geometry, which may partially enclose the bearing element externally.

Abstract: A sealing system for an exhaust gas recirculation valve, the exhaust gas recirculation valve including a housing and a valve stem disposed in the housing, the sealing system being disposed between the housing and the valve stem in order to prevent exhaust gas from entering a valve body interior. The sealing system includes at least two sealing assemblies. An exhaust gas recirculation valve includes the sealing system, and the sealing system effectively prevents exhaust gas from leaking into the valve body interior, and effectively prevents carbon deposits from sticking to the valve stem or entering the valve body interior, so as to increase the lifespan and reliability of the exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Abstract: An EGR device has a housing defining an EGR passage through which an EGR gas flows; a shaft rotatably supported by the housing through a bearing; a valve body adjusting a flow passage area of the EGR passage by rotating along with the shaft; and an actuator connected to one end portion of the shaft to drive the shaft. The bearing has a first bearing supporting one end portion of the shaft and a second bearing supporting the other end portion of the shaft. Moreover, a sealing member preventing fluid from flowing into the actuator is disposed at one end portion of the shaft. The housing has the chamber which accommodates the second bearing and is isolated form the exterior. The second bearing is made of a PPS resin material to which a fluororesin material is added. Thus, the second bearing is not corroded even if exposed to an atmosphere of strong acid.

Abstract: A control arrangement for effecting the reconveyance of exhaust gas over a larger engine operating range, while concurrently constructing the control to be more sensitive and better correlated with any particular thermal and/or mechanical operating condition of the internal combustion engine. Abstract: A hot gas exhaust recirculation valve includes a housing containing a duct for conducting gases, a drive chamber, and a valve stem which is mounted in the housing. The valve stem can be displaced in its longitudinal direction thereof and extends from the drive chamber into the duct. The end of the valve stem that is situated in the drive chamber is coupleable to a drive device. A closing body is fastened to the other end of the valve stem. The closing body is situated in the duct and has a closed position in which it separates an upstream section of the duct from a downstream section of the duct. A sealing ring surrounds the valve stem and is arranged between the duct and the drive chamber. The valve stem is supported within two bearing bushings that are spaced apart from each other, between which the sealing ring is arranged.
