    摘要: An injection nozzle of a pressure-controlled fuel injection system has a control chamber for exerting pressure on a nozzle needle. The control chamber is connectable to a pressure reservoir via a pressure line that includes a 2/2-way valve. On the end of the nozzle needle that can be acted upon by pressure and is remote from the injection opening, a bore is embodied, by way of which the control chamber of the injection nozzle can be made to communicate with a leakage line as a function of the stroke of nozzle needle.

A control valve that assures that a nozzle needle lifts from a seat when the pressure in the pressure chamber is greater than the pressure in a control chamber that communicates with the fuel inlet via an inlet throttle and with a relief chamber via a fuel outlet. The control chamber is integrated with the end, remote from the combustion chamber, of the nozzle needle.

    摘要: An improved closed nozzle injector assembly for injecting high pressure fuel into the combustion chamber of an engine is provided which includes a first needle valve element associated with a first set of injector orifices, a first needle valve control device for controlling the opening and closing of the first needle valve, a second needle valve associated with a second set of injector orifices and a second needle valve control device for controlling the opening and closing of the second needle valve. Each needle valve control device includes a control volume positioned at one end of the respective needle valve, a control volume charge circuit for supplying high pressure fuel to the respective control volume and the respective injection control valve for controlling the flow of high pressure fuel from the respective control volume to a low pressure drain thereby controlling the movement of the respective needle valve. Using a dedicated control volume and injection control valve for each needle valve element permits effective control over the duration of pilot and post fuel injection events while also providing variable rate shaping capability for optimized emissions and fuel economy. The present dual needle valve element injector includes various components such as biasing springs which are positioned and interconnected to other components in a manner which creates a simple, compact fuel injector package providing independent control of two sets of spray orifices in one injector.

    摘要: The invention relates to a common rail injector for injecting fuel in a common rail injection system of an internal combustion engine, which system has an injector housing (1) with a fuel inlet (24) that is in communication with a central high-pressure fuel reservoir outside the injector housing (1) and with a pressure chamber (27) inside the injector housing (1), from which fuel subjected to high pressure is injected as a function of the position of a control valve (18) that assures that a nozzle needle (8), which is movable back and forth and received in a longitudinal bore (6) of the injector axially counter to the prestressing force of a nozzle spring (21) that is received in a nozzle spring chamber (20), lifts from a seat when the pressure in the pressure chamber (27) is greater than the pressure in a control chamber (30) that communicates with the fuel inlet (24) via an inlet throttle (19). To achieve markedly higher nozzle needle speeds, the control chamber (15) is formed by a cylindrical chamber, in which a control peg (12), embodied on the end of the nozzle needle (8) remote from the combustion chamber, is displaceable causing a sealing effect, and that the nozzle spring chamber (20) is disposed outside the control chamber (15), in the region of the end of the nozzle needle (8) remote from the combustion chamber.

    摘要: A fuel injector comprising a valve needle, engagable with the seating to control fuel flow through a fuel outlet, the valve needle having a thrust surface oriented such that the application of fuel under pressure thereto applies a force to the valve needle urging the valve needle away from the seating. The fuel injector also comprises a valve member for controlling fuel pressure within a control chamber and a piston member slidable within a bore and defining, with the bore, the control chamber. The piston member is exposed to fuel pressure within the control chamber and is arranged to transmit a force applied by the fuel pressure to the valve needle. The piston member has an effective surface area exposed to the fuel pressure which is greater than that of the thrust surface so as to urge the valve needle towards the seating.

The pressure relief of the control chamber is controlled via an externally actuatable actuator. On the control part body, a sealing seat diameter that seals off the valve chamber is provided, which closes and opens the inlet from a common rail. An annular throttle element of variable cross section is located downstream of the sealing seat diameter of the control part body. An annular throttle element of variable cross section, or a throttle slide with a throttle, is located downstream of the sealing seat diameter of the control part body.

    摘要: The invention relates to an injector for injecting fuel into the combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine. The inlet originating at a high-pressure collection chamber (common rail) discharges into the housing of the injector, in which a control part is received, movable vertically. The motion of the control part is effected via the pressure relief of a control chamber, provided in the housing of the injector, by means of an actuator-actuatable closing element. Upon triggering of the control part via the actuator-actuatable closing element, a seat valve embodied as a spherical control body closes or opens inlets and outlets.
