    摘要: A lockable articulation for permitting relative angular rotation between a first and a second part, such for example as the body of a three-wheeled vehicle and the rear axle of the vehicle, said articulation comprising a hollow cylindrical drum centered and mounted on one part, e.g. the axle, two cylindrical sector-shaped jaws arranged inside the drum for contacting the inner surface of the drum and with their ends facing each other, at least two facing ends defining dihedral surfaces whose angle is outwardly opening, and means coupled to the other part, e.g. the vehicle body, for spreading the jaws apart into frictional engagement with the drum to lock the other part against rotation relative to the one part, said means including a roller interposed between the drum wall and the dihedral surface of the jaws and a knee lever having two-pivotally connected links one of which is pivotted on the other part and the other of which rotatably supports the roller.

    摘要: An elevator installation has braking equipment for braking and holding an elevator car which moves in vertical direction within guide tracks or rails. The braking equipment consists of at least two brake units each comprising a normal force regulation device that sets a normal force (FN) in correspondence with a normal force value determined by a brake control unit and/or a locking device that locks the brake unit in a set braking position and which preferably maintains the set braking position in the case of an interrupted energy supply. The braking equipment provides a gentle braking or holding of the elevator car, which corresponds with the operational state of the elevator installation, with a low energy requirement.

    摘要: An anchor piston for a wedge brake includes a cylinder having a closed end engaging the wedge actuator and an opposite open end. An insert is slidably received in the cylinder and includes a portion projecting from the cylinder and having a slot formed therein which is adapted to receive one end of a brakeshoe. The portion of the insert which is disposed in the cylinder is provided with an axially extending surface having a pair of opposed end portions adjacent the wall of the cylinder. A pin projects from the wall of the cylinder and engages one of the opposed end portions to properly position the slot to receive the brakeshoe. By rotating the insert so that the pin engages the other one of the opposed end portions, the piston may be used in the brake mounted on the other side of the vehicle.
