A porous evaporator medium (44) at least partially covers the bottom wall on a front side (42) positioned such that it faces a combustion chamber (20). A ring-shaped holding part (34) has a contact area (40) touching the porous evaporator medium (44). The contact area has a contact section (62) extending radially inwardly from a holding part circumferential wall (36) and extends over the porous evaporator medium (44) in a radially outer area (66). A plurality of contact projections (68) are arranged at spaced locations from one another about the longitudinal axis and extend in the direction of the porous evaporator medium. The porous evaporator medium (44) is pressed by the contact projections (68) in a radially outer area (66) against the bottom wall.

    摘要： Diesel fuel is vaporized and then burned on a cylindrical screen flame holder. The fuel is vaporized in a finned, vertical tube vapor generator and directed through a superheater tube past the flame to a flow control valve and nozzle. A flow restriction is provided between a liquid fuel supply and the vapor generator. The flame holder is vertically supported over a mixer and the nozzle. A flame deflector about the flame holder and a reservoir about the nozzle collect fuel condensate during start-up.

    摘要： A fuel control assembly includes a valve closure member, a fuel inlet restricting member, and a fuel outlet cleaning member which are connected together for simultaneous movement. The valve closure member is movable within a valve body by a crank pin on a rotatable valve control shaft, and the valve closure member is movable in both directions beyond a sealing position in which the valve closure member cooperates with the valve body to shut off fuel flow through the valve body. Movement of the valve closure member in one direction beyond the sealing position maintains the fuel flow path closed and moves the fuel outlet cleaning member into the fuel outlet orifice to clean the orifice. Movement of the valve closure member in the other direction beyond the sealing position maintains the fuel flow path open and first moves the fuel inlet restricting member into the fuel inlet to restrict fuel flow through the inlet and thereafter moves the fuel inlet restricting member out of the fuel inlet to permit fuel to flow through the inlet unrestricted.

    摘要： A fuel control means is provided for supplying vaporized fuel to burners such as gasoline lanterns and camp stoves. The control means includes fuel and pressurized air conduits which extend from the fuel tank of the burner toward the burning means and which provide inlet and outlet orifices. Inlet orifice restricting means and outlet orifice restricting or cleaning means are movably mounted within the conduit, and a valve member is movably mounted within the conduit to open and close the fuel passage therethrough. A single control member is operatively connected to each of the orifice restricting means and to the valve member, and the single control member is movable between a first position in which the outlet restricting means is positioned in the outlet orifice to clean the same, a second position in which the valve member is maintained open and the inlet restricting means is positioned in the inlet orifice to permit air mixed with fuel to flow from the tank through the conduit, and a third position in which the valve member is maintained open and the inlet restricting means is positioned out of the fuel inlet to prevent air from flowing into the conduit with the fuel.

    摘要： Combustion apparatus for utilizing liquid fuel having a fuel tank, a combustion air inlet, a vaporizer, a condenser, a combustion chamber, and a switching valve wherein the flow of a vaporized fuel may be recycled through the condenser for return to the fuel tank, or in the alternative, after the lapse of specific pre-heating time, the vaporized fuel may flow into the combustion chamber for initiation of the combustion process. Under recycle conditions, the flow passageways are pre-heated prior to combustion, while at the same time, heat exchange between the condensed fuel and the combustion air within the combustion air inlet permits the pre-heating of the combustion chamber per the flow of such heated combustion air.
