    摘要: A driveshaft misalignment measurement system for a drivetrain of an aircraft includes a driveshaft having a first end forming a driveshaft spline and a drivetrain subsystem including a spline adapted to connect to the driveshaft spline to form a splined connection. Rotational energy is transferred between the drivetrain subsystem and the driveshaft via the splined connection. The driveshaft misalignment measurement system also includes accelerometers coupled to the drivetrain configured to detect acceleration data and a flight control computer configured to measure misalignment at the splined connection using the acceleration data.

    摘要: A flexible shaft includes first and second shaft portions, first and second angular displacement couplings, and an axial displacement coupling generally extending and centered to a rotational axis. The first shaft portion extends between the first angular displacement coupling and the axial displacement coupling. The second shaft portion extends between the axial displacement coupling and the second angular displacement coupling. The axial displacement coupling includes an outer periphery, first wall attached to and extending radially between the first shaft portion and the periphery, and a second wall attached to and extending radially between the second shaft portion and the periphery. The first and second walls are resiliently flexible to facilitate axial displacement between the first and second shaft portions.

The assembly also includes a connection lug disposed at the driveshaft first end, extending circumferentially between first and second ends, and including a recess in the first end of the lug, the recess comprising a concave cylindrical surface concentrically disposed about a pivot axis oriented orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The assembly also includes a torque transfer key disposed within the recess and having a central axis radially spaced from the pivot axis, a convex cylindrical surface concentrically disposed about the pivot axis, and a planar surface. The convex cylindrical surface of the key slidingly engages the concave cylindrical surface of the recess; and the pivot axis intersects the key.

    摘要: A transmission device for transmitting a force and a torque between a handling device and a tool of a medical instrument includes transmission members interconnected in a hinged manner. A convex coupling portion of a first transmission member is in each case held interlockingly in a concave coupling portion of an adjacent second transmission member in such a way that a rotation of the first transmission member about its longitudinal axis causes a rotation of the second transmission member about its longitudinal axis. A convex coupling portion of a first transmission member is in each case held interlockingly in a concave coupling portion of an adjacent second transmission member in such a way that a tensile force can be transmitted between the first transmission member and the second transmission member.

    摘要: A simple and efficient straight in-line fuel pretreatment device is described, utilizing dwell time, magnet orientation and magnetic field strength to enhance the combustion properties of all types of hydrocarbon fuels, both liquid and gaseous fuels. A plurality of pairs of magnets, more with facing opposite poles and fewer with facing like poles, are aligned within the fuel conduit to a burner. The resulting magnetic field strength must be at least 500 gauss, preferably 500-1000 gauss, with dwell times in the range of about 0.1-1.0 second. Also disclosed is a method for pretreatment of combustion fuel which comprises passing a quantity of the combustion fuel through such magnetic field for a dwell time sufficient to enhance the combustion properties of the fuel. The pretreatment device can be made in standardized sizes for various types of commercial, light industrial and residential burners and combustion units. The device and method allow burners to become and stay cleaned of carbon deposits and therefore to operate at high efficiency.

    摘要: Fitting yokes are coupled each by a universal joint of the trunnion type to the opposite ends of a shaft assembly biased for axial extension. Each of the fitting yokes has a sleeve inserted in a center bored portion of the universal joint with a clearance formed therebetween to permit relative angular displacement between the axis of the shaft assembly and the axis of the fitting yoke. The drive shaft therefore has a greatly reduced length in its entirety. The shaft assembly includes a splined portion adapted to permit collapsing and extension of the assembly and circumferentially covered with a sleeve-shaped cover. The cover defines an interior space holding a lubricant to lubricate the spline portion for sliding movement.
