    摘要： A cartridge case especially for firing in handguns has a primer receiving pocket provided in the bottom or rear portion as a cylindrical recess, into the top of which at least one flash hole terminates, a primer cap mounted flush in the primer receiving pocket including a cup-shaped capsule having a capsule bottom and a cylindrical side wall, and with a primer charge and an anvil located inside the capsule.To improve gas tightness in the direction of the breech of the gun, especially in the use of pollutant-free primer charges, the primer receiving pocket is provided in the vicinity of a side wall of the capsule with an annular circumferential expansion zone, so that the anvil has room to deflect after ignition of the primer charge and expansion of the capsule.

    摘要： A cartridge is made up of a synthetic resin case member and a synthetic resin lid. The case member contains a first receiving chamber for receiving an igniter charge and a second receiving chamber for the accommodation of a propellant charge. A synthetic resin ignition pin flexibly connected to the lid extends into the first receiving chamber. Upon the exertion of pressure by a striker on the rear end of the ignition pin, the pin is advanced further into the first receiving chamber, a pointed forward percussion end of this ignition pin acting on the igniter charge to ignite the charge. The igniter charge is accommodated in funnel shape in a conical depression of the first receiving chamber. The percussion end of the ignition pin, extending into the igniter charge, upon displacement, causes friction in the igniter charge material and thus generates frictional heat therein. Owing to this "broaching-type igniter principle", it is possible to obtain a reliable ignition of the igniter charge in spite of the use of synthetic resin, substantially softer as compared with metal, as the material forming the case member and forming the ignition pin.

Preferably the recess is of a size which can be accommodated on a sub-caliber projectile.

    摘要： A propellant charge igniter is equipped with an igniter tube having bores for connecting with a pressure chamber with a propellant charge, and with a column of annular tablets in the igniter tube serving as the igniter charge. The annular tablets consist, in this arrangement, of an annular base member carrying on at least one end face a shoulder of a smaller wall thickness than the base member wherein the outer diameter of the shoulder is at most as large as the outer diameter of the base member. The shoulders comprise recesses connecting a bore defined by the column of annular tablets and an outer chamber formed by the shoulders and the igniter tube.
