摘要: A hose including an inner tube, a reinforcement layer disposed outwardly from the inner tube, and a cover layer disposed outwardly from the reinforcement layer, in which the hose meets requirements of NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 standard, and in some aspects, at least the inner tube is devoid of nitrosamines. In some cases, the inner tube includes ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. In some other aspects, the inner tube includes other thermoplastic material. In some cases, the cover layer is based on a rubber material. Also, the hose may contain water within a lumen defined inside the inner walls of the inner tube.

The inner wear indicator may have concentric sectional surface area of the inner wear indicator may even gradually decrease in the radial direction as a function of distance from the longitudinal axis. The rubber hose may be connected at one end to a plunger pump and connected at a second to a common manifold, in an oilfield pump system, or used in any hose application in an oilfield fluid pump system.

In some cases, the EPDM/EPR sustainable polymer has ethylene monomer derived from one or more renewable sources, such as, ethylene monomer derived from sugar cane. The mixture may further include one or more of recovered carbon black and sustainable oils from renewable sources. The hose embodiments may also include the reinforcement layer formed of fibers from sustainable material. The hose may contain the sustainable content in an amount of up to 75% by weight based upon total hose weight, or even greater than 25% by weight based upon total hose weight.

In some cases, the inner tube is based upon the curable composition, while in some other cases, the cover layer is based upon the curable composition. Yet, in other cases, the inner tube and the cover layer each is based upon the curable composition. In some aspects, the curable composition includes the EPDM in an amount of from 10% to 30% by weight, or even in an amount of from 30% to 80% by weight.
