摘要: A leak detection device for detecting leakage of a chamber includes a leak detection assembly, a first isolation valve, a suction pump and a second isolation valve. The leak detection assembly includes a gas sensor for detecting a first specified gas in the chamber. The first isolation valve is coupled between the chamber and the leak detection assembly to selectively permit and prevent fluid communication between the chamber and the leak detection assembly. The suction pump draws out air in the chamber to allow a pressure inside the chamber to be lower than a pressure outside the chamber. The second isolation valve is coupled between the chamber and the suction pump to selectively permit and prevent fluid communication between the chamber and the suction pump.

摘要: The electronic device (1) is provided with an automatic leak detection means, notably for a gas leak, in the case (2) of the device. The automatic leak detection means includes an internal pressure sensor (3), an external pressure sensor (4) and a calculation unit (5) connected to the internal pressure sensor and to the external pressure sensor. The calculation unit, which is a microcontroller, and the internal pressure sensor are arranged inside the case, whereas the external pressure sensor is arranged on an external surface of the case. The microcontroller (5) checks, based on measurements performed by the pressure sensors over time, whether the pressure variation inside the case is different from the pressure variation outside the case to determine whether or not the case has a sufficient degree of sealing.

摘要: A method for detecting leak from a fuel vapor treating apparatus defining a first area including a fuel tank and a second area including an adsorbent canister has hermetically closing the first area, measuring internal pressure of the first area, comparing an absolute value of differential pressure between the internal pressure of the first area and the atmospheric pressure with a predetermined value, measuring the internal pressure of the first area in a case that the absolute value is equal to or higher than the predetermined value in order to check for leaks from the first area based on changes in the internal pressure of the first area, fluidly communicating the first area with the second area in order to equilibrate internal pressures of the first area and the second area, hermetically closing the second area, and measuring the internal pressure of the second area in order to check for leaks from the second area based on changes in the internal pressure of the second area.

摘要: Container inspection utilizing a linear actuator. A linear actuator shaft is movable such that the shaft end temporarily contacts the container. A feedback parameter resulting from or related to a change of an electrical property of the linear actuator, is detected or determined by a controller, which determines whether the container satisfies pre-determined inspection criteria, e.g., whether the container is properly sealed, satisfies pressure criteria and/or has unacceptable vacuum. These determinations are made based at least in part upon one or more detected feedback parameters including or related to at least one of a change of position of the shaft, a change of velocity of the shaft and a force or torque exerted by the container to the shaft. In this manner, high speed leak detection is performed without a load cell or force transducer, without squeezing or compressing bottles and without determining fill level changes.

摘要: A vehicle includes a sealed fuel system and a controller. The fuel system includes a fuel tank, a fuel cap, a control orifice, and an absolute pressure sensor. The controller associates a threshold large leak in the fuel system with a fuel cap sealing error. The controller detects completion of a prior refueling event, compares measurements from the pressure sensor to a reference vacuum across the control orifice to determine the presence of the threshold large leak, and sets a diagnostic code corresponding to the large leak only upon completion of the prior refueling event. A method for detecting the large leak includes detecting completion of the refueling event, comparing vacuum measurements from the absolute pressure sensor to a reference vacuum across the orifice to determine the presence of the large leak, and setting a diagnostic code corresponding to the large leak only upon completion of the prior refueling event.

摘要: A method and system supporting the formation and propagation of tunable highly nonlinear pulses using granular chains composed of non-spherical granular systems. Such a method and system may be used to support the creation of tunable acoustic band gaps in granular crystals formed of particles with different geometries (spherical or not) in which the tunability is achieved by varying the static precompression, type of excitation and/or pulse amplitude in the system.
