摘要： A telemeter for telemetry of diagnostic messages from a mobile asset to a remote station comprises a processor coupled to the output of one or more condition sensors. The processor converts the output of the condition sensors to a diagnostic message, and provides the diagnostic message at a processor output. A transmitter is coupled to the processor output. The transmitter is adapted to transmit the diagnostic messages in the Industrial, Scientific, Medical (ISM) frequency band. An exemplary embodiment of a telemetry system of the invention comprises a telemeter adapted to transmit diagnostic messages in the ISM frequency band, and a remote station including a receiver for receiving the diagnostic messages in the ISM band.

摘要： A passenger compartment monitoring and control system provides for remote control of an undesirable condition inside a vehicle. The passenger compartment monitoring and control system includes an undesirable condition sensor disposed in the interior of the car that detects the undesirable condition. In response to a signal from the sensor, a controller contained within the vehicle and operably coupled to the sensor generates at least one control signal based on the comparison. A wireless communication device operably coupled to the controller then transmits a wireless signal in response to the at least one control signal. The transmitted wireless signal may be received by a vehicle operator's mobile station or by a call center, which are each capable of then engaging in remedial actions to remotely ameliorate the undesirable condition.

摘要： An emergency control system for opening or closing a gate resides within a controller for regulating operation of the opening/closing mechanism of the gate. A safety station is in communication with the controller and includes means to signal the emergency control circuit to open or close the gate by using either of two pushbutton switches. Sensing means which detect an unsafe condition in the area of the gate such as human entrapment is connected to the controller and initiates an alarm mode operation of the controller when an unsafe condition is detected and turns on a sound alarm. Pushing either of the safety button switches turns off the sound alarm and moves the gate. Movement of the gate is stopped if the pressed button is released while the gate is in motion which otherwise continues to its limit. The emergency control circuit is responsive to input signals from the safety station only when the controller is in the alarm mode.

摘要： A remote control finder or locating device for finding lost personal items, such as keys, a television/VCR remote control, a pager, a cellular phone or eyeglasses. The remote finder sends a radio signal to a selected one of a plurality of button-shaped receivers that emits an audible beeping noise upon activation of the appropriate radio signal. The receiver attaches to the back of any personal item by a sticker. The remote control transmitter has individually numbered buttons which correspond to the item the user wishes to locate. The remote control transmitter fits into a wall-mounted bracket when not in use. In case the remote control transmitter, itself, is lost, a button located on the mounting bracket sends out a signal which activates the remote control transmitter to emit a beeping sound and so assists in locating the finder.

摘要： An interface that provides selected information from a remote device to a utilization mechanism over a two-wire connection, wherein all power for the interface and the remote device is received from the utilization mechanism over the same two-wire connection. A switch circuit provides a high impedance between first and second wires of the two-wire connection when open and a low impedance between the wires when closed. Current flow through the switch circuit is sensed by the utilization mechanism as indicative of information from the remote device. The interface comprises a voltage regulator that provides a regulated voltage to components of the interface and the remote device, and a current regulator that regulates current provided to the voltage regulator from the two-wire connection, when the switch circuit is open, to below a predetermined level at which the utilization mechanism interprets the switch circuit as being in the open state.
