Abstract:
An enclosure for storage, transport, and display of pins for trading includes: a front and a back connected together by a first closure mechanism, such as a zipper; and a second closure mechanism such as a zipper located on an exterior of and connecting a clear cover to the front. The enclosure defines an enclosed interior space between the front and the back in which mounting surfaces are located for pins. The cover and an outwardly facing surface of the front define another enclosed interior space having an additional mounting surface for the mounting pins to be seen through the clear cover and showcased.
Abstract:
A method to market real estate includes providing a graphical user interface to a user for installation on a remote computer, receiving a street address at a server for a particular piece of real estate from the remote computer, and receiving digital photographs at the server of the particular piece of real estate. The server includes a microprocessor and a memory that stores user preferences for a marketing format and the street address, where the microprocessor formats the digital photographs in accordance with the user preferences and the marketing format, and generates a plurality of physical marketing items for the particular piece of real estate in accordance with the user preferences. The plurality of physical marketing items includes at least one of a door hangtag, a postcard, a thank you card, and a sign. The method also includes assembling the plurality of physical marketing items into a display box.
Abstract:
A shading display and sample may include a frame structure, a drive assembly operably connected to the frame structure, and a shade material associated with the drive assembly for corresponding movement thereof. Operation of the drive assembly may move the shade material between open and closed positions. The display may permit users to position and operate a covering sample near an architectural opening to assess the overall operation, appearance, translucence, texture, or other qualities of the covering based on the angular orientation and material of the sample.

Abstract:
Tuning sizes of cells of an interpolated lookup table may be performed based at least in part on an area specific behavior of a quality metric. A weighted input shaper curve may be determined to reduce interpolation errors in a multi-dimensional color lookup table. An initial input shaper curve may be applied to a color lookup table to create an interpolation result. The interpolation result may then be assessed for accuracy. The accuracy assessment may include comparing the interpolation result with a reference representation. An interpolation error may be calculated as the error between one or more intervals in a prospective color lookup table as compared to a reference representation. The weighted input shaper curve may be based at least in part on the calculated interpolation error.
Abstract:
A method and system are disclosed for providing continuous, interactive communication among devices on an electronic network (110). A permanent, dedicated symmetric connection is provided between a server application and a client device (164). Both client and server can therefore communicate bi-directionally. Message storage is provided for allowing messages to be stored (166,178) while the client is offline or otherwise unavailable. The method and system is operable with any addressable device (164, 174, 174) on the electronic network. The invention can be used as an alternative to, or in conjunction with, prior art electronic network communication methods. The invention implements an advanced message routing system. A set of base capabilities are built on top of the message routing system. The communication method and system according to the present invention use a graphical user interface to virtually represent the applications that are used to interact with the electronic network. These graphical representations (276) are used to facilitate the transmission and receipt of messages across the electronic network. Applications according to the present invention are grouped into different levels according to their increasing levels of power and specificity. An interface (384, 472) is also provided to iconically represent the underlying interactive connections of the communication system. The present invention provides a one-to-one connection for bi-directionally publishing and receiving messages and a one-to-many connection. This interface enables applications to interact and deliver any type of focused functionality.
Abstract:
A cosmetic sampler comprises a first panel. A spreadable solid material overlies a portion of the first panel. A transparent panel overlies the first panel and includes a bubble portion overlying at least a portion of the material. A second panel overlies the first and transparent panels. The second panel is substantially opaque and includes a first window through which the bubble portion extends so that the underlying cosmetic material may be viewed.
Abstract:
A mobile extra display module for storing, transporting, and displaying a quantity of containers, includes a plastic pallet base and a plurality of alternating layers of tier sheets and containers. The tier sheets have a top surface with an array of top recesses for receiving container bottoms, and a bottom surface with an array of bottom recesses for receiving container tops. The containers in each layer are in contact with adjacent containers. For storage and transportation purposes, the display module is made as a package unit including a rigid lid and a pair of straps extending around the unit, over the lid and under the base and being under a high force of about 100 pounds for holding the display module unit in a very strong and stable arrangement.
