    摘要: An electrically conductive filler. The filler having a substantially non-conductive core and a conductive layer. The conductive layer is wrapped around the core to form a closed loop thereby establishing conductivity from a bottom of the filler to a top of the filler by paths on each of two sides of the filler. Also disclosed is a method of making a web of conductive filler by placing a web of core material onto an interior surface of a web of conductive layer material. The webs of core material and conductive layer material are directed through a forming station for folding the conductive layer around the core.

    摘要: A structure for protecting a flexible flat cable (FFC) is structured so that the FFC and a plate member arranged along it are covered with a heat-shrinkable tube. The structure is provided with fixing portions and for a fixed member and a movable member on both ends. In this configuration, if the movable member is repeatedly moved in a two-dimensional arrangement, the FFC will not buckle, easily deform owing to any external force and wear. This lengthens the life of the FFC greatly.

    摘要: A cable assembly has a number of wires each having a central conductor and a surrounding insulating layer. Each wire is unshielded from the other wires, so that the conductor is the only conductive portion of the wire. Each wire has a first end and an opposed second end. The first ends of the wires are secured to each other in a flat ribbon portion in a first sequential arrangement, and the second ends of the wires are secured to each other in the same sequence as the first arrangement, with indicia identifying a selected wire in the sequence. The intermediate portions of the wires are detached from each other, and a sheath having a braided conductive shield may loosely encompass the wires, permitting significant flexibility of the cable.

    摘要: A strain relief attachment (10) is provided for coupling to the combination of an electrical connector (12) and a cable (14, 90, 92) extending from the rear of the connector, to provide strain relief for the cable. The attachment includes a housing (40) having a through passage (46) and having a front housing portion (42) that receives the electrical connector and a rear housing portion (44) that passes the cable. The rear housing portion has a slot (102) on one side to enable the fixing of the cable by pressing sidewardly through the slot to press the cable against an opposite side of the housing rear portion. For large cables, a simple tie (106) wrapped tightly around the housing rear portion presses directly against the cable. For smaller cables, an insert (120) that is molded as part of the housing, slides through the slot and presses the cable against the opposite side of the housing, with a tie pressing the insert against the cable. The housing rear portion includes a first part (50) at one side that is fixed to the rest of the housing, and a second part (52) at the opposite side that is connected by a strap (60) to the rest of the housing. The housing is molded of polymer into a single integral item.
