Abstract:
A self supporting panel system used to fabricate ceilings, floors, walls, or roofs. The panel system is assembled from a plurality of panels, each having a core that is sandwiched between opposing plate members. In a preferred embodiment, the core of each panel includes a unifying material to enhance the load bearing capacity of the panel.
Abstract:
The disclosed device is directed towards a shadow mask for ion beams comprising a silicon wafer with a hole pattern arranged therein, wherein the silicon wafer is provided at a side confronting the incident ion beams with a metallic coating which stops the ion beams and dissipates heat, wherein an apertured region of the silicon wafer has a thickness from about 20 nullm to about 200 nullm and apertures in the shadow mask have lateral dimensions from about 0.5 nullm to about 3 nullm.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a color cathod ray tube which can effectively improve impact resistance by setting a ratio of a curvature coefficient (a/b) of the shadow mask for a long axis to be in a range of about 100,000-135,000, and by setting a ratio of a curvature coefficient (c/d) of the shadow mask for a short axis to be in a range of about 60,000-360,000. Also, in defining ratios between a curvature radius of a center portion of the shadow mask and curvatures radiuses along a horizontal direction, a vertical direction, and a diagonal direction, the curvature radius decreases towards the peripheral portions of the shadow mask, thereby improving impact resistance and drop characteristics and thus effectively preventing color purity from being degraded.
Abstract:
A shadow mask is arranged to face a phosphor screen formed on an inner surface of a panel. A plurality of aperture columns are formed in parallel in the shadow mask. Each aperture column includes a plurality of apertures arranged in line at a predetermined interval. On both sides of each aperture column on the surface of the shadow mask facing the electron gun, stripe-shaped dielectric layers for acting on electron beams toward the apertures are formed respectively, and extend in substantial parallel with the aperture columns. The shadow mask is manufactured in such a manner that stripe-shaped insulating material layers are formed on the surface of a mask base material facing the electron gun, the mask base material is thereafter shaped into a predetermined shape, and the insulating material layers on the shaped mask are sintered.
Abstract:
A color selection mask is provided with an aperture region including a slit region (21) and bridge regions (22). The bridge regions (22) are provided on top and bottom ends of the aperture region. In the slit region (21), slits (123) through which electron beams pass and strips (124) are arranged alternately. The strips (124) extend into the bridge regions (22), where bridges (25) for connecting adjacent two of the strips (124) and through holes (122) through which electron beams pass are provided.

The material produced by the method exhibits magnetic characteristics being uniform in a coil and excellent as described above.
Abstract:
A cathode ray tube is provided, in which the flatness of a tension mask constituting a color-selection mechanism is maintained by a suitable stretching force, while with the tension mask, the influence of external magnetic fields, such as the terrestrial magnetism is suppressed, and the shifting of the electron beam is reduced. A tension mask made of a magnetostrictive material is used, the tension mask is stretched by a stretching force in a range maintaining the flatness of the tension mask, and the direction and strength of the stretching force are set such that vertical magnetic permeability of the tension mask increases, due to a magnetoelastic effect caused by the stretching force in the magnetostrictive material of the tension mask.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a focus mask and frame assembly for a cathode ray tube. The cathode ray tube includes an evacuated envelope enclosing a luminescent screen, a focus mask, and a support frame having at least two long sides for supporting the focus mask between the electron gun and the screen within the cathode ray tube. The focus mask has an active array area formed of a plurality of strands and cross wires separated by an insulating material and defining a plurality of focusing apertures within the array area. A border is attached to the strands opposite the insulating material along the upper and lower outer edges of the active array area. The borders extend into the active array area such that the cross wires overlie a portion of the borders and the borders form focusing apertures with the strands along the upper and lower edges of the array.
Abstract:
A large number of micropores are formed in a surface of a metal base body of a shadow mask provided to a color cathode ray tube and a surface film is formed such that the surface film impregnates these micropores and covers the metal base body. Due to such a constitution, it is possible to realize a color cathode ray tube having a press mask of a large radius of curvature which can reduce the thermal deformation such as doming.
