    摘要: An optical barrier made of tungsten (W) or titanium-tungsten (TiW). A layer of the optical barrier material is deposited over a transparent layer such as indium tin oxide (ITO). The optical barrier material is then patterned using photolithography processing steps and hydrogen peroxide as an etchant. The patterned optical barrier material acts as a light-shielding layer over a light-sensing device to form a dark reference device or dark pixel.

The quantum states each have an associated probability amplitude. The quantum states each are associated with a mode from a group of orthogonal modes. The probability amplitudes associated with the quantum states of the at least one photon are temporally separated thereby forming at least one qubit, the alternative values of which are thus temporally identifiable.

    摘要: A two-dimensional photosensor is formed on a surface light source, and a transparent conductive layer made of ITO or the like is formed on the two-dimensional photosensor. The transparent conductive layer dissipates static electricity and is grounded. Even if a finger in contact with the transparent conductive layer on the two-dimensional photosensor is charged with static electricity, this static electricity can dissipate via the transparent conductive layer. When the transparent conductive layer is divided into two layers, and the finger simultaneously touches the two transparent conductive layers, a fingerprint reading start signal is obtained. Even if, therefore, the finger is charged with static electricity, the two-dimensional photosensor can be prevented from malfunction or damage by the static electricity. When a target object in contact between the transparent conductive layers is a copy having a different resistance value, reading is not performed, and the reliability can improve.

    摘要: A detector assembly is introduced that provides shielding of irradiation vulnerable regions of an X-ray detector against directly impinging and scattered X-rays. A shielding unit has a primary aperture to shape an X-ray beam reflected from a test area of a work piece such that the shaped beam directly impinges an X-ray sensing area of the detector. A secondary aperture shields off X-rays scattering off along the edges of the primary aperture. In the preferred embodiment, the shielding unit is a monolithic structure. An area between primary and secondary aperture is laterally recessed to prevent a portion of scattered X-rays from being deflected onto the sensing area.
