    摘要: A two-dimensional photosensor is formed on a surface light source, and a transparent conductive layer made of ITO or the like is formed on the two-dimensional photosensor. The transparent conductive layer dissipates static electricity and is grounded. Even if a finger in contact with the transparent conductive layer on the two-dimensional photosensor is charged with static electricity, this static electricity can dissipate via the transparent conductive layer. When the transparent conductive layer is divided into two layers, and the finger simultaneously touches the two transparent conductive layers, a fingerprint reading start signal is obtained. Even if, therefore, the finger is charged with static electricity, the two-dimensional photosensor can be prevented from malfunction or damage by the static electricity. When a target object in contact between the transparent conductive layers is a copy having a different resistance value, reading is not performed, and the reliability can improve.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a thin-film transistor which comprises the steps of forming a gate electrode on an insulating substrate, a gate insulating film covering the gate electrode, and an i-type a-Si layer on the gate insulating film, forming a blocking film made of metal such as Cr or the like on a channel-forming region of the i-type a-Si layer, and forming an n-type a-Si layer covering the i-type a-Si layer and the blocking film, forming a metal layer on the n-type a-Si layer, and etching a predetermined portion of the n-type a-Si layer and a predetermined portion of the metal layer, thereby forming a source electrode and a drain electrode. That portion of the blocking film which is located below a gap between the source electrode and the drain electrode is removed from the i-type a-Si layer.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates arranged to face each other with a predetermined gap, and a liquid crystal layer sealed between the first and second substrates. The first substrate includes pixel electrodes and thin-film transistors connected with the pixel electrodes. The transistors are turned on based on a scanning signal from scanning lines to electrically connect the pixel electrodes to signal lines. The second substrate has an opposed electrode, which forms pixels in areas facing the pixel electrodes. The device also has a touch input contact point provided on either the pixel electrodes or the opposed electrode to correspond to a previously selected pixel. The contact point protrudes at a height smaller than the gap between the first and second substrates and is brought into conduction by flexural deformation caused by a pressing force of a touch onto the first or second substrates.

    摘要: A security label 1 according to the present invention can be removably applied on an image photographing device such as a mobile phone 2 incorporating therein a digital camera to cover a lens part 3 thereof. Upon removal, the security label 1 is bent and makes a trace emerge which shows that the security label 1 has been removed. By applying the security label 1 to the mobile phone 2 to cover the lens part 3 thereof, improper photography can be prevented. In a case where the security label 1 is removed to take a photograph, the trace remains on the security label 1 even if the security label 1 is applied again on the mobile phone 2 to cover the lens part 3 thereof. Thus, the fact that a photograph is improperly taken can be easily understood.

The first polarizing plate has an absorption axis and the first quarter-wavelength retardation plate has a slow axis in a direction intersecting with the absorption axis of the first polarizing plate at an angle of 45°.
