摘要: Disclosed herein is a design for an electrochemical energy-storage device. The device includes an electrode assembly with a separator that separates a positive electrode and a negative electrode. These electrodes and separator are radially coiled about a central axis to form a central void. A positive electrode current collector is in electrical contact with the positive electrode, while a negative electrode current collector is in electrical contact with the negative electrode. A conductive power rod is positioned in the central void and provides structural support to prevent the collapse of the central void. The rod is either: (a) in electrical contact with the positive electrode current collector and provides a low-resistance current path with a positive terminal; or (b) in electrical contact with the negative electrode current collector and provides a low-resistance current path with a negative terminal. Both terminals are electrically isolated from each other.

摘要: In the electrode assembly, the first uncoated portion provided at a long side end of a first electrode includes a segment region divided into a plurality of independently bendable segments by a plurality of cut grooves provided along a winding direction. The segment region includes a plurality of segment groups disposed with a group separation pitch along the winding direction. The plurality of segment groups constitute at least one segment alignment on one side of the electrode assembly. At least some of central points of winding turn arcs where the p number of segment groups are located are not located on a predetermined alignment line extending in the radial direction from the center of the core.

摘要: An electrode assembly, a battery, and a battery pack and a vehicle including the same are provided. One end of the electrode assembly includes a plurality of segment alignments in which the plurality of segment groups are aligned along a radial direction, and an electrolyte impregnation portion provided between segment alignments adjacent in a circumferential direction, wherein an end of the first active material portion is exposed between winding turns of the separator. The segments included in the segment alignment are bent toward the core to form a bending surface region. An end of the separator is spaced apart from a criterion line extending in a winding axis direction along a location corresponding to the plurality of cut grooves by 30% or less of a minimum height of the segments forming the bending surface region.

摘要: A cylindrical secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode tab and a second electrode tab, a battery can configured to accommodate the electrode assembly therein, the battery can having an opening, the battery can being electrically connected to the electrode assembly, a through terminal extending through one surface of the battery can, the through terminal being electrically connected to the electrode assembly, a first current collecting plate having a first surface coupled to the first electrode tab and a second surface coupled to the through terminal, an insulator interposed between the first current collecting plate and the battery can, and a cap plate covering the opening of the battery can. An insulating coating layer is provided along an inner circumferential surface of a sidewall of the battery can facing a side portion of the first electrode tab and a side portion of the first current collecting plate.

摘要: The present invention refers to a battery module comprising a plurality of battery cells, each battery cell including a first terminal and a second terminal spaced apart and electrically isolated from one another, a housing including an upper housing part and a lower housing part assembled together to completely surround the plurality of battery cells, and a plurality of bus bars integrated in the upper housing part, wherein each of the plurality of bus bars is connected to one of the first and second terminals of at least two battery cells. The present invention further refers to a method of manufacturing the battery module, which is fast and easy and has a high tolerance for fluctuations in the battery cells height.
