摘要: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a cable sealing structure comprising a cable sealing body including a gel and methods of making anisotropic behavior in cable sealing structures made with a dry silicone gel. In one aspect, various three-dimensional printing techniques are used to make a cable sealing structure that includes a gel. The cable sealing body has a construction that elastically deforms to apply an elastic spring load to the gel. The cable sealing body has a construction with anisotropic deformation characteristics that allows the cable sealing body to be less deformable in one direction than in others. The cable sealing structure can be utilized to seal fiber optic cables more uniformly while limiting the potential of leakage.

摘要: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to an IP 55 rated enclosure that does not use a rubber O-ring or comparable elastomeric sealing member disposed between pieces of the enclosure to provide sealing. Another aspect of the present disclosure relates to an IP 55 compliant sealing interface that includes mating sealing profiles made of the identical materials. A further aspect of the present disclosure relates to an enclosure having jet stream redirecting structures that prevent spray from a water jet from being sprayed directly into an ingress path defined by a sealing interface. A further aspect of the present disclosure relates to a sealing interface provided by an interference-fit between two plastic profiles which create pressure on the interface keeping it closed while concurrently including angled surfaces so that greater tolerances are allowed.

In the formula (I), n is about 60% to about 90% of the formula (I); m is about 10% to about 40% of the formula (I); R is —(C═O)—OR1; and R is a C2-C20 alkyl group. The alkyl ester polydimethylsiloxane has a weight average molecular weight of about 10,000 g/mol to about 50,000 g/mol. The hardness of the thermoplastic gels is less than 120 g peak load. The hardness of the dry silicone gels is less than 100 g peak load.
