摘要: A circuit breaker includes separable contacts, a latchable operating mechanism having a latch member, a bimetal and an arc fault trip assembly. The trip assembly includes a thermistor responsive to bimetal temperature, an amplifier having first and second inputs and an output, a first resistor electrically connected between a second bimetal terminal and the first amplifier input, a second resistor electrically connected in parallel with the thermistor, a third resistor electrically connected in series with that parallel combination, with that series combination being electrically connected between the first amplifier input and the amplifier output. The second amplifier input is referenced to the first bimetal terminal. The amplifier output has a voltage, which is compensated for the bimetal temperature coefficient. The trip assembly provides a trip signal as a function of compensated voltage. A solenoid responds to the trip signal and releases the latch member to trip the separable contacts open.

摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling an electric motor pump. The method includes the acts of providing an AC power signal having a positive half cycle and a negative half cycle, measuring the voltage of the AC power signal and generating a first two-state output signal that is in a logic high state when the measured voltage is on the positive half cycle and that is in a logic low state when the measured voltage is on the negative half cycle, and measuring the current of the AC power signal and generating a second two-state output signal that is in logic high state when the measured current is on the positive half cycle and that is in a logic low state when the measured current is on the negative half cycle. The method also includes determining a time difference between the first and second two-state output signals, calculating a phase difference based on the time difference, comparing the phase difference to a predetermined threshold value, opening a switch if the determined phase difference is equal to or greater that the predetermined threshold value, and, after the switch is opened, closing the switch after a predetermined amount of time has elapsed.

The fuse carrying box 23 consists of a carrying box body 60 detachable to the stationary box 21 and a fuse fixing part 61 for carrying a fuse 22. The mechanism 25 is constituted by slits 41, 41 formed in a partition wall 34. 摘要: A ground fault relay, especially useful to detect motor leakage currents due to insulation failure. The invention operates in two (2) modes. The first mode is a “look-ahead” mode where possible motor circuit insulation failure is detected prior to the electrical motor being turned on, and the second mode is “real time” mode which detects leakage currents after the motor is turned on and during running of the motor. Processing circuitry is disclosed which enables a user to set predetermined values of leakage current to be detected and to trip the relay after comparison of the leakage current and the predetermined value, if the former is larger than the latter. This invention is able to accurately detect extremely small values of ground leakage current without experiencing nuisance tripping due to extraneous noise.

摘要: The electric power breaker for breaking the electric power is placed on the midpoint of the electric power line from the battery power supply, and the electric power line is extracted from the electric power breaker. In addition, the electric power supply terminal is placed on the midpoint on the electric power line, from which the electric power is supplied to the individual electric loads. The electric power distribution and the electric power supply operation to the electric loads are controlled by the multiplex communication. A semiconductor device having a self protection function is used as the switching device for supplying the electric power. The electric power line covered by the electric conductive material is arranged in a loop topology so as to start from the connection point to the battery and pass through the designated positions in the vehicle and return to the battery. On the designated points on this loop, plural control modules are connected, and the electric power is supplied to them from the battery. By isolating plural electric conductive parts of the electric conductive layer covering the electric power line, each part connected to the abnormality detection circuit of the individual control module, and by detecting the electric potential change in the individual electric conductive part, the position of the abnormality can be identified by the position of the isolated electric conductive part where the short circuit abnormality is detected.
