    摘要: A method and apparatus to be used with a motor controller generating firing pulses to control an inverter, the inverter providing exciting voltage to a motor corresponding to the firing pulses, the voltage having a maximum intended amplitude, the method for substantially eliminating exciting voltage overvoltage by modifying the firing pulses, the method comprising the steps of identifying characteristics of an initial firing pulse, comparing the initial pulse characteristics to an overvoltage characteristic set known to cause overvoltage, where the initial pulse characteristics match the overvoltage characteristic set, altering the initial firing pulse such that the altered firing pulse does not cause overvoltage, identifying an accumulated error corresponding to the altered firing pulse, modifying the firing pulse following the altered firing pulse as a function of the accumulated error to generate a composite firing pulse; and repeating the identifying, comparing, altering, identifying and modifying process with the composite firing pulse as the initial firing pulse.

    摘要: A three-point converter with NPC diodes disposed between bridge halves and a center tap of an intermediate circuit is proposed. A decoupling network is provided for the upper bridge half, a first input of which decoupling network is connected to a positive pole of the intermediate circuit and a first output of the decoupling network is connected to a positive pole of the three-point converter. Furthermore, provision is made of a further decoupling network for the lower bridge half, a first input of the further decoupling network is connected to a negative pole of the intermediate circuit and a first output of the further decoupling network is connected to a negative pole of the three-point converter. The remaining inputs of both of the decoupling networks are connected to the center tap of the intermediate circuit. The remaining outputs of both of the decoupling networks are connected via the NPC diodes to the upper and lower bridge halves. A commutation voltage for the main switches of the upper and lower bridge halves is decoupled from a halved intermediate circuit voltage (Vdc/2) independently of one another by the decoupling networks.

    摘要: Switching devices conjointly use snubber circuits without disposing for each switching device and is interposed between a DC neutral point N and a positive terminal plate of a DC power source. A second snubber circuit is interposed between the DC neutral point N and a negative plate terminal of a DC power source. A third snubber circuit is interposed between the DC neutral point N and an AC output terminal O. The snubber circuit suppresses the rise of the voltage when each switching device shifts from ON to OFF. The snubber circuit clamps a voltage applied to the switching device when this voltage exceeds the power source voltage during the process in which the switching device shifts from ON to OFF. The snubber circuit clamps a voltage applied to the switching device or when this voltage exceeds the power source voltage during the process.

The converter has a plurality of valves, each one of the plurality of valves having at least one semiconductor element capable of being fired, and the device has a unit for generating firing control pulses for a commutating valve in dependence on the minimum reference value of the extinction angle according to a given criterion for commutation of a direct current through the converter. The device has a unit for continuously forming an operating value of recovery time for the semiconductor element of a decommutating valve, and a unit for forming the minimum reference value of the extinction angle in dependence of the operating value.

    摘要: A multilevel cascade voltage source inverter having separate DC sources is described herein. This inverter is applicable to high voltage, high power applications such as flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) including static VAR generation (SVG), power line conditioning, series compensation, phase shifting and voltage balancing and fuel cell and photovoltaic utility interface systems. The M-level inverter consists of at least one phase wherein each phase has a plurality of full bridge inverters equipped with an independent DC source. This inverter develops a near sinusoidal approximation voltage waveform with only one switching per cycle as the number of levels, M, is increased. The inverter may have either single-phase or multi-phase embodiments connected in either wye or delta configurations.
