    摘要: A switch-mode power supply includes a pair of input terminals for receiving an alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) voltage input from an input power source, a pair of output terminals for supplying a direct current (DC) voltage output to a load, and a three-level LLC circuit coupled between the pair of input terminals and the pair of output terminals. The circuit includes a first switch coupled with a first diode to define a first half-bridge and a second switch coupled with a second diode to define a second half-bridge. The power supply further includes a third switch coupled across the first diode and the second diode to short circuit the first diode and the second diode when the third switch is closed, and a control circuit including a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), at least one flip-flop and multiple logic gates to operate the three switches with zero-voltage switching (ZVS).

    摘要: The switched power supply (10) comprises: an input (16) for an AC input current (IPRI) under an input voltage (VPRI); an output (36) for a DC output current (Isec), and successively, from the input to the output, a system of controlled breaker switches (20); a transformer (21) whereof the primary (24) is linked at the output of the system of controlled breaker switches (20); a rectifying circuit (28) connected across the terminals of a secondary circuit (26) of the transformer; and a storage capacitor (32) linked in parallel across the output terminals of the rectifier circuit (28) with interposition of a coil (34), the output (36) being formed across the terminals of the storage capacitor (32). The system of controlled breaker switches (20) is the only circuit between the input (16) and the output (36) to comprise switching members and in that it comprises means (22) for controlling the system of breaker switches (20) so as to control the amplitude of the input current (IPRI) as a function of the input voltage (VPRI) of the output current (Isec) and of the voltage (Vsec) across the terminals of the storage capacitor (32).

The converter control arrangement comprises a voltage regulator for regulating the output voltage of the dc source power converter by comparing an output voltage value with a target voltage value derived by combining a reference voltage value and a droop voltage value provided by the dynamic droop control device. The reference current value is the desired output current value of the dc source power converter and defines, in combination with the reference voltage value, a target operating point.

    摘要: In one aspect of the teachings herein, a self-commutated current source converter is operated in a manner that compensates for the reactive power consumption and/or harmonics generation of a line-commutated current source converter used in the transfer of electrical power between an AC power system and a DC power system. In this regard, the line-commutated current source converter is operated as a first converter in a hybrid converter apparatus and the self-commutated current source converter is operated as a second converter in the hybrid arrangement. According to one example, the first and second converters are stacked, such that each shares a portion of the DC voltage on the DC side of the hybrid converter apparatus, while in another example, the second converter is not used for power conversion and instead is used solely for compensation with respect to the first converter.

    摘要: A system comprising low cost topology for power converter systems is provided. The system takes advantage of the voltage-boost characteristic of a current source inverter (CSI) and utilizes a PWM CSI as a grid-side converter for power generation systems. Moreover, the generator-side converter employs low-cost devices, such as, but not limited to diode bridge, thyristor bridge, and/or a combination of diodes and thyristors, and accordingly simplifies generator-side converter and control. Further, the system provides a wider range of operation than traditional voltage source converter based topologies that utilize a voltage source inverter (VSI) as the grid-side convertor along with a diode rectifier as the generator-side converter.
