    摘要： A method detects short term, unusual events in a video. First, features are extracted features from the audio and the video portions of the video. Segments of the video are labeled according to the features. A global sliding window is applied to the labeled segments to determine global characteristics over time, while a local sliding window is applied only to the labeled segments of the global sliding window to determine local characteristic over time. The local window is substantially shorter in time than the global window. A distance between the global and local characteristic is measured to determine occurrences of the unusual short time events.

    摘要： A first video receiver is controlled to interrupt live watching of a television broadcast program; and thereafter, a second video receiver installed in another location can be controlled to continue display of the program from the interrupted point in the program. There is digital video recorder server that is capable of communication between local and remote sets via a home network. When a move watching and listening function is commanded at the local set, a built-in digital video recorder starts recording the program in progress. When a command is received at the local set for shifting the watching of the program to the remote set thereafter, the local set reads the recorded program from the recording start point and delivers it to the remote set from the server for effecting time shift watching and listening to the program on the remote set.
