摘要: A portable, personal protective (PPP) respirator includes a protective barrier made of pliable material that expands when air flow is provided to create a volumetric interior air space, the barrier being non-porous and configured with an opening at one end and sealed at all other surfaces. The PPP respirator includes a barrier collar that is bendable to conform to being worn over a neck and shoulders of a person, the barrier collar providing an attachment component around which material from the open end of the barrier is wrapped to hold the protective barrier in place when the barrier collar is worn around the neck of the person. The PPP respirator includes a mantle having a neck opening for placing of the mantle over the person's head, the mantle resting on the person's neck and shoulders and upper torso when worn. The protective barrier prevents direct exposure to an exterior environment.

The connector includes a valve body having at least three ports comprising first and second inlet ports and an outlet port; and a valve switch attached to the valve body, the valve switch being movable between a plurality of positions relative to the valve body; wherein, in a first position, the valve switch is configured to fluidically connect the first inlet port to the outlet port, and fluidically seal the second inlet port from the outlet port; and wherein, in a second position, the valve switch is configured to fluidically connect the second inlet port to the outlet port, and fluidically seal the first inlet port from the outlet port.

摘要: A retrofittable mount system for a mask having a mask window comprises a sensor removably mounted to the mask to collect information about an environment as sensor data, wherein the sensor is removably mounted to the mask with a first mount mechanism that does not penetrate the mask window. A processor is coupled to the sensor, wherein the processor executes one or more cognitive enhancement engines to process the sensor data into enhanced characterization data. An output device is removably mounted to the mask with a second mount mechanism without penetrating the mask window. The output device receives the enhanced characterization data from the processor and communicates the enhanced characterization data to a mask wearer, such that the enhanced characterization data is integrated into natural senses of the wearer and optimized for the performance of a specific task of the wearer to reduce the cognitive load of the wearer.

摘要: A face mask assembly configured with a drop down feature and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The face mask assembly includes a face mask component slidable along a length of at least a first strap. The face mask component includes a first dynamic strap engagement feature defining a slide portion and a locking portion to engage the first strap. The slide portion includes a smooth edge such that the face mask component is slidable along the length of the first strap while the first strap is positioned within the slide portion. The locking portion includes a sharp edge to provide frictional restriction to the first strap during operation such that face mask component is locked relative to the length of the first strap while the first strap is positioned within the locking portion. A corresponding method of manufacture is also provided.

摘要: A self-contained breathing apparatus includes an air cylinder pressurized to about 5500 psig, wherein the air cylinder is compatible with infrastructure used in conjunction with the air cylinder. The self-contained breathing apparatus also includes a first regulator valve for reducing air pressure from the air cylinder to a predetermined level. A second regulator valve is also provided for reducing the air pressure from the predetermined level to a level suitable for use by an operator, wherein air is supplied from the second regulator valve to the operator via a mask. The self-contained breathing apparatus further includes a frame for supporting the air cylinder on the back of the operator. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: A respirator mask for automatically activating an air-saver switch within a regulator by rotation of the regular as the regulator is mounted and dismounted from a facepiece of the mask. The mask includes a facepiece including a regulator engagement region having an aperture and a protrusion proximate the aperture, and a regulator including a regulator body having a facepiece engagement region mateably engageable with the regulator engagement region, a fluid flow path within the regulator body, and a latch within the regulator body, the latch causing obstruction of the fluid flow path when actuated. The latch is engageable with the protrusion, the regulator being rotatable within the facepiece aperture between a first rotational position and a second rotational position, rotation of the regulator within the facepiece aperture from the second to the first rotational position engaging and actuating the latch to obstruct the fluid flow path.

摘要: Disclosed is a chemical oxygen self-rescue device, including a breathing assembly (1), an oxygen generating assembly (2) and a gas bag; (3) the oxygen generating assembly includes an oxygen generating agent tank (21), a gas discharge valve (23) and an oxygen candle (22); the gas discharge valve is arranged on a component above an oxygen generating agent (213) in the oxygen generating agent tank and below a breathing end of the breathing assembly, and the opening and closing of the gas discharge valve are controlled by means of an inflated volume of the gas bag. The chemical oxygen self-rescue device reduces the resistance to breathing, lowers the temperature of breathed gas and improves the utilization rate of the oxygen generating agent.
