Abstract: A face mask assembly configured with a drop down feature and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The face mask assembly includes a face mask component slidable along a length of at least a first strap. The face mask component includes a first dynamic strap engagement feature defining a slide portion and a locking portion to engage the first strap. The slide portion includes a smooth edge such that the face mask component is slidable along the length of the first strap while the first strap is positioned within the slide portion. The locking portion includes a sharp edge to provide frictional restriction to the first strap during operation such that face mask component is locked relative to the length of the first strap while the first strap is positioned within the locking portion. A corresponding method of manufacture is also provided.

Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to methods and systems for adjustably and removably attaching a shroud to a helmet. A shroud for use with a helmet may comprise a top shroud configured to attach to the helmet; an inner shroud configured to attach to the top shroud, wherein the inner shroud comprises a band configured to tighten around a user's neck; and an outer shroud configured to removably attach to the top shroud, wherein the outer shroud is configured to cover a user's shoulders. The shroud may also comprise one or more removable attachments, wherein the top shroud attaches to the helmet via the one or more removable attachments.

Abstract: A protective face shield assembly is provided. The example protective face shield assembly includes a protective element, a frame, and a face seal. The frame defines a continuous inner frame edge and a continuous outer frame edge. The face seal includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two side portions as a continuous unit, defining a continuous inner face seal edge and a continuous outer face seal edge. The continuous inner face seal edge is removably affixed against the continuous inner frame edge. The continuous outer face seal edge encapsulates an elastic band that fits against at least a front half portion of the head and face of a user. The face seal contains one or more layers of filter medium suitable for removing particulate matter from the air that flows from exterior air space and into interior air space.
