    摘要: There is provided herein a process for the compaction of Polyhalite, comprising: mixing a feed of polyhalite with an inorganic binder in a mixer to yield a mixture; compacting said mixture in a compactor to yield masses; crushing said masses in a crusher to yield particles; and screening said particles in a screener to yield particles in three different sizes: oversized fine particles which undergo a second crushing process and are retuned to said screener for screening, undersized fine particles which are transferred to said mixer for further mixing and compacting, and desired size fine particles which are transferred to a polish screener for glazing and oiling.

    摘要: Water-dispersible pellets are provided that includes spent lime particles present from 80 to 99.5 total weight percent. A binder component is also present from 20 to 0.5 total weight percent. The pellets have a mean pellet domain size. The spent lime particles, and the binder component present in a form such that contact with water causes pellet dispersion into more than 100 pieces. A process of forming spent lime pellets is also provided that include spent lime being dewatered to a free-flowing powder. A binder is then added under conditions to induce agglomeration of the free-flowing powder to the form the pellets. A process of treating a target crop is also provided based on such pellets.

    摘要: In the process for the agglomeration of slightly soluble and hydrolytically sensitive substances, a powder of the slightly soluble substance is conducted, together with at least one water-soluble binder, in free fall through a steam atmosphere at temperatures between 85.degree. C. and 105.degree. C. essentially without the action of compacting forces. In this process, the residence time in the steam atmosphere is approximately 0.5 to 10 seconds. The agglomerates formed are then dried in free fall, so that small solid bridges form from the binder liquid bridges formed at the points of contact between the primary particles. In a following integrated fluidized-bed dryer, the final drying then takes place to a water content of less than 0.5% by weight. The process is carried out in a steam jet agglomerator in which a freely falling product curtain of the pulverulent mixture to be agglomerated is impinged by steam using steam jet nozzles (5, 6). A fluidized-bed dryer (2) is connected at the lower part of the agglomerator (1) in such a manner that the agglomerated particles (4) fall directly into the fluidized bed.
