    摘要: A grinding machine including one or more grinding wheels has a workpiece holder that releasably holds a crankshaft and is configured to rotate the crankshaft about a longitudinal axis; a spindle assembly, that is moveable in at least two directions, including a spindle shaft and a grinding wheel attached to the spindle shaft; and an acoustic emission sensor coupled to the grinding machine, such that the grinding machine is configured to monitor an output signal from the acoustic emission sensor, move the grinding wheel into contact with the crankshaft at a first angular position, detect contact between the grinding wheel and the crankshaft based on the output signal, determine a position of the grinding wheel based on the detected contact between the grinding wheel and the crankshaft, move the grinding wheel away from the crankshaft, rotate the crankshaft a defined angular amount, move the grinding wheel into contact with the crankshaft at a second angular position, determine a position of the grinding wheel based on the detected contact between the grinding wheel and the crankshaft, and determine a position of a crankshaft surface.

    摘要: A rolling tool for the roller finishing of bearing surfaces of a crankshaft is pivotable around a crankshaft axis, with a finishing roller head and with a support roller head. In order to prevent damage to the guide mechanisms, the roller finishing roller is guided on all sides in a roller cage and the finishing roller head has a frame wherein it is mounted pivotably around a first pivot axis which is perpendicular to the crankshaft axis and parallel to a tangent on a working side of the roller finishing roller. Additionally or alternatively, the support roller head comprises a support roller frame in which the support roller housing is mounted pivotably around a second pivot axis perpendicular to the crankshaft axis and parallel to the first pivot axis, and around a third pivot axis perpendicular to the crankshaft axis and perpendicular to the first pivot axis.

    摘要: A grinding machine and a method for measuring and producing a target outer contour is disclosed, particularly for a pin-bearing journal of a crankshaft. First, a measurement device acquires measurement values for the dimensions and shape of a workpiece in at least two measurement planes that are spaced apart and extend transversely to a longitudinal extension of a workpiece region. The measurement planes are produced by a relative movement of the workpiece region and the measurement device in a Z axis direction, relative to the movement of a grinding disc in the direction of the Z-axis thereof. These measurement values are transmitted to a CNC system for advancing a grinding disc, such that any deviations from the target contour that may be present are corrected, and the target contour of the workpiece region in question is ground adaptively on the basis of the measurement values.

    摘要: An apparatus for machining an elongated workpiece with a tool a support column having a generally planar and vertical front wall and a pair of generally planar, parallel, and vertical side walls projecting rearward from respective outer edges of the front wall. A workpiece holder on the front wall can hold the workpiece forward of the front wall in a vertical orientation. A vertical guide secured to one of the side walls carries a vertical slide shiftable along the vertical guide. A front horizontal guide on the vertical slide forward of the front wall from the guide carries tool holder shiftable in the front horizontal guide on the vertical slide forward of the front wall and is adapted to hold the tool.

    摘要: A grinding machine includes a pair of workpiece support devices (12, 13), which clamp and rotate a workpiece (W), on a bed (11). A pair of saddles (14) is provided on the bed (11) in such a way as to be movable along the rotational axis of the workpiece (W). Grindstone heads (16) provided with rotating grindstones (16c) and drive mechanisms (16d) are supported on the saddles (14) in such a way as to be movable in a direction that perpendicularly intersects the movement direction of the saddles (14). There is provided a partition structure (20) which consists of a fixed cover (21) and a extendable cover (22), and serves to partition a machining region (T) for the purpose of sealing off the same so that the clamping portions (12a, 13a) and the rotating grindstones (16c) of both of the workpiece support devices (12, 13) will be located inside the machining region (T), and that bearing sections (12b, 13b) and driving sections (12c, 13c) of both of the workpiece support devices (12, 13), as well as bearing sections (16b) and driving sections (16d) of both of the grindstone heads (16), will be located outside the machining region (T).

    摘要: An apparatus for checking diametral dimensions of crankpins and main journals in the course of grinding is provided. The apparatus includes a head with a Vee-shaped reference device and an axially movable feeler that contacts the surface of the pin to be checked, and an articulated support device, coupled to the grinding wheel slide that carries the head and enables it to keep contact with the surface of the pin during possible orbital rotations. A transducer in the head cooperates with the feeler for detecting its displacements and transmits signals to a processing and display device in turn connected with the computer numerical control of the grinding machine. The processing and display device processes the transducer signals with compensation values or coefficients stored in a memory unit for obtaining measuring signals output by the head that vary in a linear way in a wide range and for compensating errors due to temperature variations.

    摘要: The invention relates to a deep-rolling roller head (1) of a deep-rolling tool for the deep rolling of radii or undercuts (22) on the main and stroke journals of crankshafts (21), with a housing (2) in which one or two deep-rolling rollers are tracked with little clearance and are loosely rotatable in a roller cage (5) at a lateral distance from each other. The roller cage (5) is attached to underside (3) of the housing (2) towards the crankshaft (21) by means of pins (15) which support the roller cage (5) on its face (10) away from the deep-rolling rollers (4) and at the same time track them laterally. The housing (2) is provided with a projection (11, 12) for the support of the roller cage (5) on either end of its underside (3) towards the crankshaft (21). Pins (15) serving as fastening and tracking elements of the roller cage (5) are provided and engage the roller cage (5).
