摘要: An active safety apparatus adapted for a disk or circular knife or saw is based on optical surveillance apparatus. The apparatus provides a precise boundary for a protected volume surrounding the blade. The apparatus creates four corner edges for the protected volume, which is a cuboid or a right frustrum. Appearance of an operator hand, recognized by glove color, in the protected volume causes immediate, active stopping of a servomotor used to rotate the saw blade.

摘要: A cutting liquid supply unit of a cutting apparatus includes a pair of gutter forming nozzles that are disposed to face each other in such a manner as to sandwich a cutting blade and that supply a cutting liquid to the cutting blade to form gutters extending in a processing progression direction, and a tip nozzle that supplies the cutting liquid from the outer circumferential side of the cutting blade toward the cutting blade on the upstream side in the processing progression direction. The tip nozzle supplies the cutting liquid toward a processing point at which the cutting blade cuts into a workpiece, and guides the cutting liquid by the gutters toward the downstream side in the processing progression direction.

摘要: In order to be able to safely remove the heavy and very sharp blade from the machine, which is overhanging when mounted, in contrast to known solutions, the entire cutting unit is not swung out of the machine so far that the blade is easily accessible, but instead the cutting unit together with the blade support and blade drive remain unchanged in position in the machine, and only the blade carrier of a mounting device is brought into contact with the blade.
Then the blade can first be fixed to the protective blade carrier before the connection of the blade to the blade support is released, and then the blade carrier loaded with the blade can be removed from the machine in a simple manner, for example pulled out sideways.-

摘要: Dynamic regulation of contact pressures in a blade sharpening system is provided. An example multiphase grinding wheel has a grinding face with one or more abrasive concentric rings for sharpening the cutting blade of the log saw machine, and one or more padded concentric rings consisting of fiber padding. Sharpening with the multiphase grinding wheel improves cut quality, increases blade life, removes glues and varnishes from the cutting blade, reduces blade deformation, and hones the edge of the cutting blade. A pneumatic tensioning system uses air bladders to apply dynamic cushioning and processor-controlled contact pressure between the grinding wheels and the cutting blade during sharpening. The fiber-padded grinding wheels and the air bladder tensioner provide improved sharpness of the cutting blade and longer life for the mechanical components.

Material is passed through at least one perforation and movement of the ribbon cuts the material. A further embodiment comprises a disk including one or more blade structures, each forming at least one cavity. Material is passed through at least one cavity and a rotational movement of the disk cuts the material. A further embodiment comprises a slider-crank mechanism including a slider coupled to a set of parallel rails of a guide shaft. The slider moves along a length of the rails to cut the material. Yet another embodiment comprises one or more rotatable blade structures coupled to at least one rod. The rotation of the blade structures causes the blade structures to intersect and cut extruded material during each rotation.
