    摘要: Disclosed are various construction techniques for erecting a multistory building with an elevator shaft. In accordance with the method, upper and lower shaft components are formed at an offsite facility. These shaft components are then joined together to form a segment of the larger elevator shaft. Once constructed, the segment is transported to a jobsite and erected. Once an individual segment is installed, a floor slab can be formed about the segment. Using pre-cast elevator segments simplifies and expedites the construction process. In one embodiment, each segment includes a serrated edge that facilitates a connection between the floor slab and the shaft segment. Rebar and reinforcing dowels can also be used to improve the connection. Associated shaft constructions are also disclosed.

    摘要: A robotic casting machine (RCM) provides for on-site, or near-site casting and automated production of cast components, such as concrete modular, volumetric building components. The RCM includes stationary and mobile support structures, which can be positioned in a loading configuration, a casting configuration and an ejection configuration in which the cast volumetric component may be ejected from the mold. Tipping machines located beneath the cast component facilitate ejection, rotation and loading of the ejected module onto a transport surface for transport of the module. The support structures are constructed of prefabricated frames that may include at least one standardized section, which may be utilized on every project, and may also include a customized section, which may be provided to achieve desired dimensions of the cast module on a particular project. A casting process is provided in which a volumetric module is cast in a rotated orientation, in which the floor is cast with an initial vertical orientation, the transverse walls extend in a horizontal orientation, which is cast in vertical wall forms, and a longitudinal wall extends horizontally along the top of the mold. Modular, volumetric components created using the RCM and casting process are also described.

    摘要: An apparatus for forming steps within a concrete stairway, wherein each step has a rise and a run. The apparatus includes a stringer rail, one or more riser brackets and a plurality of fasteners. The stringer rail has a lengthwise-extending channel. Each riser bracket has a panel leg and a support leg, wherein one end of the support leg is attached to panel leg. The fasteners are selectively slidable within the rail channel. One of the fasteners attaches the panel leg to the rail and another of the fasteners attaches the support leg to the rail. Each fastener is configurable in a first mode where the fastener is slidably attached to the rail. Each fastener is configurable in a second mode where the fastener is fixedly attached to the rail.

    摘要: A stay-in-place concrete footings form is used for forming a concrete footing between a spaced-apart pair of the stay-in-place concrete footings forms. Each concrete footing form is elongate and has a cavity inside the form. Each form has a pair of elongate sides wherein openings are formed in the elongate sides to permit water to flow into the cavity. Each form has a dovetail pin or dovetail slot formed along the lengthwise extent of both sides of the form. The dovetails permit clamps, having a mating dovetail slot or dovetail pin, to be clamped to the form for anchoring the form to the ground with a stake carried by the clamps.
