摘要: An outside protection apparatus includes: an outside airbag device including an expandable member expandable rearward from a front portion of a body of a vehicle so as to be overlaid on a hood of the body, and an inflator that expands the expandable member; a collision detector that predicts or detects a collision between the body and a outside person outside the vehicle; and a controller that expands the expandable member when the collision detector predicts or detects a collision. The expandable member includes: a front bag portion expandable at the front portion of the body so as to be overlaid on the hood; a rear bag portion expandable in a location closer to rear than the front bag portion; and a tensile member coupled together with the rear bag portion to the body. The rear bag portion is expandable by the tensile member to stand on the hood.

摘要: A method for assisting an occupant exiting a vehicle includes: receiving opening data describing an imminent opening of a door of the vehicle; receiving object data describing positions and speeds of objects in the vehicle environment; determining a time-to-collision between the opening of the door and a possible collision of a first object with the door, based on the opening data and the object data; outputting an urgent warning signal if the time-to-collision falls below a predetermined minimum duration; using the object data to check whether the first object is followed by a second object; classifying the second object as a first following object if a time-gap between the first object and the second object is below a predetermined limit; and outputting a warning signal after the output of the urgent warning signal in the event that the second object is classified as the first following object.

Embodiments described include: receiving an image of a lane indicator corresponding to a lane of travel of the vehicle from an image capturing device; determining, based on the image, reference values corresponding to a position of the lane indicator relative to the vehicle; associating each of the reference values to values used to locate a point within a reference frame related to a direction the vehicle is traveling; receiving position information of an object in an environment external to the vehicle from a radar sensor; determining, based on the values and the position information, an assigned lane of the object; detecting an impending change of the lane of travel of the vehicle to the assigned lane of the object; generating a steering control value based on the impending change.

摘要: An airbag apparatus to be applied to a vehicle includes airbags, a pre-crash determiner, an airbag deployment controller, and an airbag contraction controller. The airbags are configured to be deployed forward of a vehicle body front of the vehicle, and are disposed in a vehicle width direction. The pre-crash determiner is configured to establish a pre-crash determination when a probability of a collision with an object is a predetermined value or higher. The airbag deployment controller is configured to deploy the airbags in response to establishment of the pre-crash determination. The airbag contraction controller is configured to control contraction of the airbags individually, and perform side airbag contraction control by contracting one of the airbags that is on one side in the vehicle width direction and in a region where the collision with the object is occurring, and keeping deployed another one or more of the airbags in the region.

If it is determined that a collision between the unmanned vehicle and the object is imminent, at least partly based on the at least one object parameter, at least one triggering parameter is determined for triggering at least one crash cushion of the unmanned vehicle. The at least one crash cushion is triggered according to the at least one triggering parameter. The at least one crash cushion is triggered before the imminent collision.
