摘要: A method and a structure for an Autonomous Train Control System (ATCS) are disclosed, and are based on a plurality of autonomous train control elements that operate independent of each other. An autonomous train control element operates within an allocated track space, and based on predefined rules. Further, autonomous train control elements are paired together to exchange operational data. Pursuant to the predefined rules, an autonomous train control element acquires needed track space from a paired element, and relinquishes track space that is not required for its autonomous operation to a paired element. Further, an autonomous train control element is assigned a priority level with respect to the acquisition/relinquishment of track space.

摘要: A power supply system for an electrical equipment comprises a first power supply module for supplying power to the electrical equipment, wherein the first power supply module is connectable to a first electrical network and is adapted for converting a first input current from the first electrical network to an output current suppliable to the electrical equipment; a second power supply module for supplying electrical power to the electrical equipment, wherein the second power supply module is connectable to a second electrical network of different frequency and/or different voltage as the first electrical network and is adapted for converting a second input current from the second electrical network to the output current, when the first power supply module is not able to converting the first input current; and an electrical energy storage for supplying electrical power to the electrical equipment, wherein the electrical energy storage is adapted for providing the output current, when the first and/or second power supply module is not able to convert the first and/or second input current.

摘要: In a method for identifying a danger zone to be monitored at a grade crossing, the following are performed: at least one radar sensor is situated at the danger zone; object trajectories from sequences over time of object positions of respective objects moving through the danger zone are ascertained by the radar sensor; the position of at least one traffic path is identified with the aid of an accumulation of object trajectories; the positions of barrier straight lines are ascertained with the aid of radar reflections of the closed barriers; and the danger zone is determined by linking information on the identified position of the at least one traffic path with information on the ascertained position of the barrier straight lines.

摘要: A railroad crossing gate flasher assembly has a sealed, rodent-proof connection for electrical cables that pass from the foundation to a junction box. A clearance between the bottom of the junction box and the top of the foundation is sealed with a plate to prevent rodents from accessing the cables. The seal plate is mounted to the bolts that extend from the foundation and is leveled after it is inserted onto the bolts. The junction box is lowered onto the seal plate and attached to the same bolts so that the junction box also is level. The seal plate has an opening, coupling and conduit for protecting the cables.

摘要: A geographic information system (GIS) displays geographic roadway data, geographic track data and geographic train position data. The GIS includes a GIS database having static roadway and track data. A computer aided dispatching (CAD) system includes a task to determine an occupied track section. A web server includes a first routine determining geographic starting and ending positions of the track section, a second routine displaying geographic information regarding the static roadway and track data, and a third routine determining geographic information regarding the occupied track section from the geographic starting and ending positions of the track section and from the GIS database. A client system communicates with the web server to receive and display the geographic information regarding the static roadway and track data, and to receive and display the geographic information regarding the occupied track section with the geographic information regarding the static roadway and track data.

摘要: Sections of a highway crossing over the rail road are raised completely clear of the rail road to form a barrier preventing automobile traffic from entering the rail road when a train is at or nearing the crossing. When the train has passed, the barrier sections are lowered, reforming the grade crossing so that automobile traffic may cross the rail road at near grade. The ends of each barrier transverse to the centerline of the roadway are shaped and positioned so that a continuous surface is formed when the barrier sections are in the lowered position, partly resting on the rail road or nearby supports, allowing automobiles to continue over the rail road by means of driving on the upper surfaces of the lowered barriers, with only small gaps at the joints where the sections adjoin each other or meet the approach roadway.
