摘要： A yarn holding device is provided for holding and carrying a spool or skein of yarn by a person while knitting and/or crocheting. The device can hang downwardly from the arm or hand of the person while providing a supply of yarn to the person while knitting. The device has a handle in the form of a ring that can hang from the arm of the person. A shaft extends from the ring with a length to carry the skein of yarn. A sleeve in mounted on the shaft and carries the yarn during use. The sleeve is rotatable on the shaft to feed the yarn. A removable base is coupled to the bottom end of the shaft for removing the sleeve from the shaft and for positioning the sleeve with the yarn of the shaft. An eyelet is provided on the ring to feed the yarn from the skein to the person during use.

摘要： A gathering gauge for assisting in the fabrication of a gather in a sewn article of manufacture. The gathering gauge is used to evenly distribute a given length of a fabric over a selected gather length, thereby eliminating guess work normally associated with such task. The gathering gauge is an elongated member defining a first slit for receiving and holding one end of a thread used to gather the fabric. A plurality of second slits is provided for receiving and holding a further portion of the thread. The second slits are disposed along the length of the gathering gauge at pre-selected distances from the first slit. A measuring guide is provided for determining the distance between the first slit and each individual second slit. Thus, depending upon the length of the fabric to be gathered, and either the length of the gather or the amount of gather desired, a particular second slit is selected.

摘要： A quilt binding cutting guide and a method for using it to cut and form low-bulk, angled seams for quilt bindings. The quilt binding generally has a first end and a second end. The cutting guide may comprise a quilt edge line, a right binding cutline, and a left binding cutline, the right binding cutline and the left binding cutline being spaced apart from, and parallel to, each other, and angled with respect to the quilt edge line. To use the guide, a user may position the cutting guide on top of a quilt so that the quilt edge line is directly above a raw edge of the quilt. The user may then use the guide lines on the cutting guide to position and cut the ends of a quilt binding accurately, without measuring or marking.
