The cylinder head includes a plurality of coolant passages. The coolant collector bracket is coupled to and between the cylinder head and the EGR cooler. The coolant collector bracket includes a plurality of coolant inlets directly coupled to a plurality of outlets of the plurality of coolant passages of the cylinder head. The coolant collector bracket also includes an EGR coolant outlet directly coupled to an inlet of the EGR cooler. The coolant collector bracket also includes an EGR cooler inlet directly coupled to an outlet of the EGR cooler.

摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation system for a multi-cylinder engine is provided, which includes an exhaust manifold connected to a cylinder head, a catalyst connected to a downstream end of the exhaust manifold in terms of an exhaust gas flow, an EGR gas outlet provided downstream of the catalyst, an in-head EGR passage penetrating the cylinder head, and an EGR pipe extending from the EGR gas outlet and directly connected to an inlet of the in-head EGR passage to lead EGR gas thereto. The catalyst is disposed so that the exhaust gas flows therein from a first side to a second side in an engine cylinder lined-up direction. The EGR gas outlet is located on the second side with respect to the center of the engine in the cylinder lined-up direction, and the inlet of the in-head EGR passage is located in the first side with respect to the engine center.

摘要: An engine system includes an internal combustion engine having an engine block with one or more piston-cylinder arrangements communicating with an intake manifold and an exhaust manifold, a charge air passageway to the intake manifold, and an exhaust gas passageway that receives exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold. The engine system also includes one or more turbochargers each including a compressor to compress charge air and output the compressed charge air to the charge air passageway and a turbine that receives exhaust gas from the exhaust gas passageway and drives the compressor in response to the exhaust gas passing through the turbine. An air pump is positioned downstream of the compressor that supplies a portion of the compressed charge air into the exhaust gas passageway upstream of the turbine, such that the turbine receives both exhaust gas and compressed charge air.

The EGR system includes a first EGR flow path and a second EGR flow path independent of the first EGR flow path that are each configured to recirculate high pressure exhaust from the exhaust system back to the engine intake system. The system includes a controller in operable communication with the EGR system configured to selectively control an amount of EGR flow through at least one of the first and second EGR flow paths.

摘要: A start-up method for heating a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) module in a hybrid propulsion system of a vehicle. An internal combustion engine is in fluid communication with an exhaust aftertreatment system having an exhaust. An SCR module is disposed in the exhaust passage downstream of the engine and an electric motor. The method includes operating the engine in a start-up mode with a torque restriction on the engine, allowing the SCR module to convert NOx emission; supplying a surplus amount of a reducing agent to the exhaust gas at a position between the engine and the SCR module, the surplus amount of the reducing agent being larger than a required amount of reducing agent for converting NOx emission from the engine; heating said SCR module to a working temperature; and terminating the start-up mode.

Multiple convergent-divergent nozzles each correspond to one of the plurality of convergent nozzles. The convergent-divergent nozzles each include an air-exhaust gas inlet in fluid communication to receive fluid flow from a corresponding convergent nozzle and the interior of the exhaust gas housing.

A condenser (122) is fluidically coupled to the energy conversion device (112) and configured to receive the working fluid (108) from the energy conversion device (112) and to condense the working fluid (108) into a liquid phase.

摘要: A boosted engine is provided, which includes an engine body formed with a combustion chamber, a spark plug, a fuel injection valve, a booster, a boost controller, and a control unit including an operating range determining module and a compression end temperature estimating module. In a high load range, the fuel injection valve and the spark plug are controlled so that a mixture gas inside the combustion chamber starts combustion through flame propagation by ignition of the spark plug, and unburned mixture gas then combusts by compression ignition, and the boost controller is controlled to bring the booster into a boosting state. When a gas temperature inside the combustion chamber exceeds a given temperature at CTDC, the fuel injection valve is controlled so that a fuel injection end timing occurs on a compression stroke, and the spark plug is controlled so that the mixture gas is ignited after CTDC.
