摘要: A power system includes an engine; an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system supplying a first portion of the engine exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold; a turbine generator in communication with the exhaust manifold and configured to be driven by a second portion of the engine exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold to generate electrical power; a power network including at least one battery to store the electrical power generated by the turbine generator; and an electric compressor in fluid communication with the intake manifold and configured to be powered by the electrical power from the at least one battery of the power network and to compress at least a portion of the intake air for the engine.

The pair of primary EGR cylinders can be connected to an intake with an EGR system that lacks an EGR cooler. In another embodiment, the cylinder pairs include exhaust flow paths that join in the cylinder head to form a common exhaust outlet for each cylinder pair in the cylinder head that is connected directly to the EGR system or to the exhaust system without an exhaust manifold.

摘要: An engine system includes an internal combustion engine, a fuel cell system, a first turbocharger and a second turbocharger. The internal combustion engine has an intake passage, and a first exhaust passage fluidly connected to the first set of combustion chambers. The first turbocharger has a first compressor and a first turbine. The second turbocharger has a second compressor and a second turbine, the second compressor connected in series with the first compressor, and the second turbine being in fluid communication with the second exhaust passage. The first and second turbines are connected in parallel such that the first turbine only receives exhaust flow from the fuel cell system, and the second turbine only receives exhaust flow from the internal combustion engine.

摘要: An internal combustion engine having at least one cylinder that has a main combustion chamber for burning a fuel/air mixture or a fuel/air/exhaust gas mixture and has a flushed prechamber connected to the main combustion chamber via at least one overflow duct on the fluid side. At least one exhaust gas turbocharger is provided that has a turbine for the expansion of the at exhaust gas leaving the at least one cylinder and a compressor for compressing fresh air or a fresh air/exhaust gas mixture to be supplied to the at least one cylinder as compressed charge-air. In a charge-air line downstream of the compressor, an extraction point is formed from which a flushing line branches off, via which a partial amount of charge-air of the compressed charge-air for flushing the at least one prechamber can be extracted.

The first and second turbines are connected in parallel such that the first turbine only receives exhaust flow from the first set of combustion chambers, and the second turbine only receives exhaust flow from the second set of combustion chambers.

摘要: An internal combustion engine system includes an internal combustion engine, a first turbine unit receiving exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine, the turbine unit having a compressor for compressing intake air and feeding the intake air by an air intake line to the internal combustion engine, and an exhaust gas recirculation line connecting the air intake line with an exhaust as line of the internal combustion engine at a position upstream the first turbine unit. A bypass line connects the exhaust gas recirculation line to the exhaust gas line at a position downstream of the turbine unit, the bypass line having an arrangement for controlling the exhaust gas flow from the exhaust gas recirculation line to the exhaust gas line.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting operation of a split exhaust engine system based on a total flow of gases through a scavenge exhaust gas recirculation system of the split exhaust engine system. In one example, a method may include setting a cam timing correction based on a difference between a first value and a second value of a flow through an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) passage, the first value determined based on a first parameter set including a cylinder valve overlap area and the second value determined based on a second parameter set not including the cylinder valve overlap area, and operating at least one of an intake cam and an exhaust cam at a corrected timing using the cam timing correction. In this way, the flow through the EGR passage may be adjusted even without active control of a valve coupled in the EGR passage.

摘要: An engine system may include: an engine including cylinders that generate a driving torque by combusting fuel; a first intake manifold connected to an intake line through which flows intake air into some of the plurality of cylinders; a second intake manifold supplying the intake air to the other cylinders of the plurality of cylinders through the first intake manifold; a first exhaust manifold connected to some cylinders that are connected to the first intake manifold; a second exhaust manifold connected to some other cylinders that are connected to the second intake manifold; a recirculation line branched from the second exhaust manifold to be coupled to the second intake manifold; a recirculation inlet valve disposed at a point at which the recirculation line and the second exhaust manifold are joined; and a manifold connection valve disposed on an intake line between the first intake manifold and the second intake manifold.
