摘要: A device for producing a releasable clearance-free position of a rolling bearing, having a rolling bearing which has an outer ring, an inner ring mounted on a shaft and a plurality of rolling elements arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring, and having a tensioning device mounted on the circumference of the rolling bearing outer ring for generating a radial preload which is uniform over the outer circumference of the rolling bearing outer ring between the tensioning device and the rolling bearing outer ring, wherein the tensioning device has an axially adjustable tensioning element which can be brought into a first alignment in which the rolling bearing has play, and which can be brought into a second alignment in which the rolling bearing is free of play. A corresponding method is also described.

摘要: An oil supply assembly for a bearing damper of a gas turbine engine includes an oil supply tube configured to supply oil in a first direction. The assembly also includes a bearing support having a bearing damper path connecting the bearing damper to the oil supply tube and a bearing compartment path connecting a bearing compartment to the oil supply tube. The assembly also includes a check valve disposed within the bearing damper path and configured to allow fluid communication in the first direction from the oil supply tube to the bearing damper and block fluid communication in a second direction opposite the first direction.

摘要: The arrangement comprises a fluid bearing comprising a first fluid bearing element located in a bearing housing and a piston located in a pump housing. The bearing housing comprises a bearing housing opening. The pump housing comprises a pump housing opening. The first fluid bearing element is connected to the piston by means of a connection means extending from the first fluid bearing element through the bearing housing opening to the piston through the pump housing opening. The piston is arranged to reciprocate in the pump housing. The pump housing is connected to a fluid reservoir by means of a first inlet. The bearing housing comprises a first outlet for allowing fluid to exit the bearing housing. The arrangement further comprises a fluid transport means fluidly connecting the pump housing and the bearing housing.

摘要: A housing (1) of a rotary machine comprises a low-pressure side (2) and a high-pressure side (3), working-fluid inlet and outlet channels, and at least one rotor (7), which when the machine is working is urged by a working fluid towards the low-pressure side (2). The rotor includes a thrust balancing arrangement (15, 16) for relieving the load on the thrust bearings (11) of the machine, through the medium of an auxiliary bearing (17) and in dependence on pressure fluid supplied to the thrust balancing arrangement, the pressure of which fluid is contingent on the operating conditions of the machine. A relatively large part of the axial load is taken-up by an auxiliary thrust bearing (17), which is readily replaceable. The auxiliary bearing (17) is mounted on an outermost part of the rotor journal shaft (18), on the high-pressure side (3) of the rotor, between a detachable locking device (27) for the auxiliary bearing (17) and the thrust balancing arrangement. The thrust balancing arrangement is located inwards of the auxiliary thrust bearing and includes two annular piston-cylinder parts (15, 16) which are axially extendible and which are located in a cylindrical recess (14) in the housing (1).

摘要: A fluid bearing for rotatably supporting a rotary shaft. A bearing member comprises a plurality of U-shaped fluid pockets and a plurality of first land portions formed on the bearing surface of the bearing member. Each of the U-shaped fluid pockets is defined by a pair of axially spaced fluid pockets and a supply groove. Each supply groove is formed in parallel relationship with the axis of the bearing member for fluidically communicating the pair of fluid pockets. Each of the first land portions is formed between the pair of fluid pockets for generating hydrodynamic pressure. Each fluid pocket is provided with two second land portions. Each of the supply grooves is located at a lower position in a gravitational direction in its associated U-shaped fluid pocket. The plurality of U-shaped fluid pockets are arranged symmetrically with respect to a vertical plane which includes the center of the bearing member.
