摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling gear selection in a transmission of a vehicle in response to a directional shift requested by an operator and to a control system for controlling gear selection to manage directional shifts in vehicles, from a first direct to a second direction (e.g. forward to reverse). The method compares the current transmission output speed with a predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed. If the current transmission output speed is less than or equal to the predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed, the transmission is caused to execute a direction shift from the initial first direction gear to the same second direction gear, or a next highest second direction gear if there is no second direction gear which corresponds to the initial first direction gear. If the current transmission output speed is greater than the predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed, the direction shift is inhibited until the current transmission output speed slows to less than or equal to the predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed.

摘要: In one aspect, a method of controlling gear shifting in response to a driving mode change, the method including determining a maximum number of allowable low-level gear-shifting steps according to a result of determining a state of a transmission, computing an immediate post-gear-shifting expected speed of a turbine for each step included that is within the maximum number of allowable low-level gear-shifting steps, using a current speed of an output shaft of the transmission and a gear ratio of each step and comparing the computed expected speed of the turbine with a preset allowable speed thereof for each step, setting the lowest-level gear-shifting step, among gear-shifting steps at which the expected speed of the turbine and the allowable speed thereof satisfy a predetermined condition, is set to be a target gear-shifting step, and executing gear-shifting control for shifting a current gear-shifting step down to the target gear-shifting step.

摘要: A vehicle includes a powerplant, at least one drive wheel, a transmission, and a controller. The powerplant is configured to generate power to propel the vehicle. The transmission is configured to deliver power from the powerplant to the at least one drive wheel. The controller is programmed to, in response to a scheduled upshift of the transmission and detection of a set of conditions that are indicative of the vehicle climbing while on loose terrain, override upshifting the transmission and maintain a current gear of the transmission. The controller is further programmed to, in response to the scheduled upshift of the transmission and non-detection of at least one condition of the set of conditions that are indicative of the vehicle climbing while on loose terrain, upshift the transmission.

摘要: A transmission system configured to perform a gear change based on a shift operation by an operator is provided, which includes a power transmission system including a transmission and configured to transmit an engine driving force to wheels, a shift operation detecting module, and a transmission controlling module adapted to be executable of a manual rotation synchronizing mode having first and second steps. In the first step, when a first shift operation for changing the transmission to a lower-speed side is detected, the transmission controlling module sends a control signal to a connecting-and-disconnecting mechanism provided to the power transmission system to suspend the transmission of the driving force. In the second step, when a second shift operation is detected, the transmission controlling module sends a control signal to the connecting-and-disconnecting mechanism to resume the transmission of the driving force while the transmission is switched to the lower-speed side.

Furthermore, the method includes validating and raising the request to the transmission to execute the directional shift if the ground speed is below the ground speed threshold.

The transmission includes a drum having a track around its outer perimeter and arranged such that torque can be transferred by rotating the shaft, the drum capable of being moved along the length of the shaft, a biasing mechanism for urging the drum towards a rest position along the length of the shaft, and a drive member selector member provided in operative relation to the track, wherein by rotating the shaft the drive member selector member can be selectively urged into contact with a first drive member for drivingly engaging therewith in a first torque connection or into contact with a second drive member for drivingly engaging in a second torque connection.
