Abstract: A power transfer assembly for a vehicle including an input shaft, at least one output shaft, and at least one clutch configured to perform at least one of changing a gear ratio between the input shaft and the output shaft, and coupling the input shaft with a second output shaft of the at least one output shaft. An actuator assembly is configured to activate the at least one clutch. The actuator assembly has a motor with an output drive, a worm gear coupled with the output shaft, and a spur gear meshed with the worm gear and coupled with the at least one clutch for activating the at least one clutch. The worm gear and the spur gear have opposite gear hands.

Abstract: There is provided a shift device for a straddle-type vehicle that is configured to cause a transmission device to perform a shift change in accordance with rotation of a shift shaft. The shift device includes: a shift lever provided with an operation portion that is configured to receive a shift operation; a shift sensor provided on the shift shaft so as to be integrally rotatable with the shift shaft; and a shift rod that couples the shift lever and the shift sensor. The shift sensor is configured to detect the shift operation on the shift lever in accordance with a movement of the shift rod. The operation portion and the shift sensor are positioned at the same side in a manner of sandwiching the shift rod.

The positioning arm 72, as being rotatably supported to a speed changing operation shaft 61 for rotating the shift drum 58, is extended from a speed changing operation shaft 61.

Abstract: A vehicle power unit has a transmission apparatus including a transmission, and a transmission actuating mechanism including a speed reduction gear train having multiple speed reduction stages for transmitting power from a drive gear on a drive shaft of a shift motor to a driven gear on a drum turning shaft of a shift drum. The speed reduction gear train has a speed reduction ratio ranging from 23 to 45, and the shift motor is a DC electric motor that produces a pulsating cogging torque having a maximum value ranging from 0.04 to 0.07 Nm. The vehicle power unit enables the transmission actuating mechanism to be made up of a reduced number of parts and to be simple in structure, making the transmission apparatus small in size, and ensures quicker and smoother gear changes with an electric motor.

Abstract: A transmission that suppresses a tilt of a slider in an axial direction and reduces a dimension of the slider in the axial direction for downsizing is provided. A transmission includes a fifth-speed driven gear disposed on a counter shaft, a fifth-speed driving gear that always meshes with the fifth-speed driven gear and disposed on a main shaft, and a first slider disposed on the counter shaft to be movable in the axial direction in accordance with a shift operation. The first slider includes first dog recesses. The fifth-speed driven gear includes fifth-speed dog projections configured to mesh with the first dog recesses. The fifth-speed driven gear includes a fifth-speed driven gear protrusion only on a location closer to a radially outer peripheral end thereof than the counter shaft. The fifth-speed driven gear protrusion protrudes in the axial direction so as to contact the first slider when the first slider falls in the axial direction. The protrusion length of the fifth-speed driven gear protrusion is smaller than that of the fifth-speed dog projections.

Abstract: A gear shifting assembly of a transmission, a transmission, and an automobile. The present disclosure aims to address the problem of complicated structure existing in a gear shifting assembly or the like. To this end, the gear shifting assembly of a transmission according to the present disclosure includes a P-gear mechanism and a forward-gear mechanism, wherein the gear shifting assembly further includes a drive mechanism and a shifting mechanism, and the shifting mechanism is configured to be capable of switching the drive mechanism so that the P-gear mechanism or the forward-gear mechanism is in an operational state. By employing the common drive mechanism, the gear-shifting function of forward gears and the function of parking at the P-gear can be realized without interference, and on the basis of function integration, elements are saved so that the gear shifting assembly is made more compact in structure.

Abstract: In a vehicle power unit, a drum rotary shaft member on one side of a shift drum is provided with a driven gear. A case side wall on one side of an engine crankcase supporting the drum rotary shaft member is covered by a case cover member in opposing relation thereto. A shift motor is mounted to the case cover member, with a driving gear thereof directed to protrude toward the case side wall. A speed reducing gear train has gear shafts and provides a multiplicity of speed reduction stages for transmitting power from the driving gear to the driven gear. The speed reducing gear train is arranged with both ends of its gear shafts thereof supported on the case side wall and the case cover member, respectively. Such arrangement provides a vehicle power unit for a fast and smooth shift by an electric motor.

Abstract: The transmission includes a rotation shaft, a shift gear, and a gear switching part. The shift gear is rotatably supported by the rotation shaft. The gear switching part is relatively unrotatably supported by the rotation shaft in a movable manner in an axial direction. The gear switching part is configured to be moved in the axial direction by a shift fork, to switch connection and disconnection between the rotation shaft and the shift gear. The gear switching part and the shift fork have a bearing therebetween. The bearing is brought into contact with the gear switching part and the shift fork, thereby reducing friction between the gear switching part and the shift fork, resulting in improvement of durability of the sliding surfaces of the gear switching part and the shift fork.
