Abstract: A shift drum angle detecting device includes: a first angle sensor configured to output a first sensor output value corresponding to a shaft rotational angle of a first sensor shaft integrally rotating with a shift drum; and a second angle sensor configured to output a second sensor output value corresponding to a shaft rotational angle of a second sensor shaft rotating at an increased speed as a result of a speed increasing mechanism increasing the rotation of the first sensor shaft. A first sensor switching angle where the maximum value and the minimum value of the first sensor output value are switched and a second sensor switching angle where the maximum value and the minimum value of the second sensor output value are switched are set to be different from each other in rotational angle of the shift drum. Such device precisely detects any rotational angle of the shift drum.

Abstract: In a speed change apparatus for a vehicle, a controller stores as a clutch-disengaging shift spindle angle θ1 a position at which a clutch is disengaged when a shift spindle is rotated in a first direction. The controller controls the shift spindle by a first step W1 of rotating the shift spindle in the first direction until a disengaging-side target angle Ta1 is reached; a second step W2 of returning the shift spindle in a second direction opposite to the first direction; and a third step W3 of rotating the shift spindle in the first direction up to the clutch-disengaging shift spindle angle θ1 and thereafter rotating the shift spindle in the second direction to return the shift spindle, upon detection of an output from a drum angle sensor, the output corresponding to shallow engagement of dog teeth.

Abstract: A transmission apparatus for a vehicle includes a shift spindle having a clutch actuator, and also includes a shift actuator adapted to operate a shift drum. The apparatus also includes a motor for rotating the shift spindle, and a controller for controlling the motor. In use, the clutch actuator is rotated prior to the shift actuator when the shift spindle is rotated to a shift-down side. The controller rotates the shift spindle to a shift-up side and stores, as a standard duty, a driving duty of the motor at the time when a rotary angle of the shift drum reaches a drum angle threshold. Then, the controller rotates the shift spindle to a shift-down side, and learns a rotary angle of the shift spindle at the time when the standard duty is generated, as a touch point at which the clutch is initially partially engaged.

Shock-absorbing device is provided on the master arm or the stopper pin At least a part of the shock-absorbing device is formed to project into the path along which the stopper pin moves relative to the opening of the master arm, from a stopper pin outer surface or from edge portions of a defining edge of the opening in the master arm onto extension of the stopper pin path. As a result, even if the master arm and the stopper pin contact one another at high speed, it is possible to suppress the sound of contact and suppress an increase in the weight of a stopper pin fixing part.

When the remaining fuel amount becomes smaller than the predetermined value, the remaining fuel amount warning device performs remaining amount warning control that produces vibration different than during normal operation by changing the combustion state of the engine by the combustion state changing device. A starter switch for starting the engine is made to serve also as a warning acknowledging button for stopping the remaining amount warning control for a predetermined time on the basis of an operation by an occupant.
